Air Stomp - Is there a way to make it svck even more?

The answer is I don't think so. It's needs a blast radius. How absurd is it that you have to hit someone square on the head. Completely worthless.

"The Air Stomp is a velocity-based attack. The higher you are, the more time you have to fall and the faster you'll go, naturally.
Depending on the height, the Air Stomp can deliver from a minimum of 40 damage to a maximum of 220 damage.
Similarly, the radius of the Stomp can grow from 2 meters out to 7 meters.
A simple Power Jump doesn't come close to getting enough air for more than the minimum damage. You need some elevation, a few seconds of air."

It's awesome when it pulls off. Just yesterday I was on a scaffolding-type structure and someone I was shooting ran underneath it to escape my gunfire. I couldn't shoot them and they were regenerating health beneath me, so going down to face them would have made it a little too fair for my liking ;). I jumped off and airstomped right in front of the scaffolding and the blast radius took him out underneath the structure; I did NOT have to land on his head.

It doesn't svck, it just has very specific uses. It's not as useful as guns or melee (obviously), and tbh is nowhere near as useful as nano transfer; which I plan to use as soon as my armour mode level catches up with my other levels (5:6:11)

Problem is that when used correctly (jump from a high building, use the Air Stomp and get air for a couple of seconds and land next to/on enemy) most of the time nothing happens; you just land next to an enemy without hurting them at all. Air Stomp should be used as a "great risk great reward"-attack, but at the moment it often seems more like a "great risk no reward", or in other words a really awesome entrance for the enemies get you killed.

My theory about this "bug" is that the area of effect doesn't spread out as it should on "uneven ground", that is when there are holes, stairs or debris and it gets "in the way" of the enemy. Just a thought, I could be all wrong and the Air Stomp is just "fine" as it is. If so, I will consider not using it at all, which is a shame.

I've not experienced this yet, but in fairness I haven't been using it for very long. More often than not, when I think I experienced the situation you described, it turns out they'd simply moved before I landed.

..Just before I typed this I had an epic kill on wall street.. Jumped out of a high window onto an unsuspecting enemy hiding in a crater.

Seems like some have problem with the Air Stomp and some don't. There's another post about it here: http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=15324

Or it's just based on situation, that in some cases it works great, others it don't. We'll just have to see if it will be "fixed", or if there will be a confirmation from devs about how Air Stomp works.

this skill was made for a game commercial cuz it looks cool
it really does, but i still cant understand how the **** anyone get a frag with it
i killed two guys with it occasionally, both times it was a mistake, i pushed wrong button :D
my answer for a topic question is "YES"
i think airstomp is epic and when you die using it you are the most epic player on the map. just cuz it looks cool.

I don't see how punching the ground makes an explosion, so no, it should be how it is.
