How to determine if Crysis 2 is patched?

Post » Wed Oct 27, 2010 9:01 pm

Hi Guys!

The version of Crysis 2 that I have was downloaded from EA, digital copy, thought I’d mention that in case that makes a difference.

I’m looking to find out what version of the patch I have installed but cant seem to find anything that tells me nor do I have any options on how to update the game to make sure I have the lasted patch… I do remember when I first launched the game it did do some type of update.

Can any help?

Much appreciated!

Check your game log in Crysis2 folder :)

In the multiplayer menu, look at the top left part of your screen. It shows the version.

+1, you might have to turn up the brightness a bit.

The font is very dark

Hhhmmm... I haven't ever been able to get into the multiplayer... I always get some error about my log in information being incorrect, no matter how many times I retype my nickname and password, nothing... So I gave up and just started playing the campaign...

Today is the 1st time on this forum...

Hi guys,

Game.log file has alot of info... At the top is reports the following:

BackupNameAttachment=" Build(0) 01 Apr 11 (23 54 21)" -- used by backup system
Log Started at 04/01/11 23:54:21
Running 32 bit version
Executable: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crysis(R) 2\bin32\Crysis2.exe
FileVersion: 1.1.0.0
ProductVersion: 1.1.0.0
Using STLport C++ Standard Library implementation
Added MOD directory to CryPak
Executable Command Line: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crysis(R) 2\bin32\Crysis2.exe"

And then at the very bottom it gives the following info:

DXInput Shutdown
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\animations.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\gamedata.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\music.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\objects.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\objectsls.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\scripts.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\sounds.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\textures.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\videos.pak
Closing PAK file: engine\engine.pak
Closing PAK file: engine\shadercache.pak
Closing PAK file: engine\shaders.pak
Closing PAK file: engine\shadersbin.pak
Closing PAK file: gamecrysis2\localized\english.pak
Closing PAK file: patch\patch1.pak

So are you able to determine what version I have installed with this info? Do I need to manually download a patch?

You have the patch. File version 1.1. 1.0 would be unpatched.
