In fact, the spawning is so horrible, that I once died in less than a second after respawn by getting beat down. How did that happen? Some dude on the enemy team was running for a corner, when I spawned in said corner. He was looking at it the whole time, and he even watched me spawn then proceeded to melee me before I could even get my gun up. I've spawned on top of live grenades before, and every time I spawn I feel like activating cloak is mandatory lest your enemies spot you right away after spawning 5 feet behind your back.
I'm not sure how the spawning system in this game works, but in most other games the spawns generally try to keep you out of harms way. CoD has generally been noted for having some bad spawns, but really the spawns just "flip" sides every once in a while which leads to unexpected flanking, but it's not so often that you want to pull your hair out. But after Crysis 2, the CoD spawns seem pretty damn good. The spawns in this game seem entirely random, and I HAVE lost entire matches because the enemy team was out-spawning us (e.g. spawning behind our backs every time we tried to push forward)
Seriously Crytek, I know you are new to the whole smaller maps thing, but this method of spawning does not work here. The game doesn't seem to care if there are enemies, bullets or grenades in the spawn location you are about to take, it just picks a random spot and sets you down.
