Sooo.....hackers

Post » Wed Oct 27, 2010 9:37 pm

It's just Crysis 1 multiplayer all over again.

So true.

Given Crytek's track history with dealing with hackers, I think they should approach the problem from a new angle. Instead of banning hackers, release a hacks only game mode and give everyone aimbot/infinite energy/teleportation/exploding bullets ect. That way, once you get tired of seeing hackers pentakill your team in capture the relay, you can switch to a game mode that puts you on an even playing field with hackers.

This by far has to be the dumbest 'solution' to a hacking problem I have ever heard of. Wow...just wow.

When faced with an insurmountable challenge, sometimes you have to think outside the box.

xbox users are signing a petition for dedicated servers. And asking if crytek is on vacation or something like that. I may break down and get some Jagger. Sip it with some crysis 1. Break my pc crysis 2 disc. And RENT this game for xbox.

I wouldn't say my solution endorses hacking, remember this would be sanctioned by Crytek. Think of it as uber suit mode.

Listen the op must be lying. Cry adam has put out a sticky that clearly says the anti cheat system works.

STOP LYING ABOUT CRYTEKS WONDERFUL JOB

I apologize, but the newly made anti-cheat, as far as it goes for pc, didn't seem to be succesful, or was, but for a very short amount of time. It took me 4 games yesterday night to start seeing the blunt cheaters out again. You know the totally not subtle ones: blatant oneshot kill with aimbot, superspeed with superman jumps, perma invis.

At least if Crytek did something I'm glad they tried. I really want to take the anti-cheating consideration seriously and I can go with the first steps of them, as in, not so effective but... In a while, if legits are still around before the game is intoxicated with the cheaters just as what happened to Crysis (it was amazing how f***ing lame one game could get with ONE of them among 63 legit players even in the widest maps...), I hope that Crytek will try at least to implement a way or another to report/inform in any way possible when hard proof is collected.

Dress up the name of it however you want, it would still be hacking. So you have 16 people aimbotting each other in a server. Sounds fun

$5 says that the 360 owners will get dedicated servers before we PC gamers get our security patch.

Well, you could argue that the current nano suit powers are "hacks". But no one makes such an argument because these powers are available to everyone and sanctioned by Crytek. My proposal would simply extend these abilities.

No... Rofl. The nano suit capabilities are LIMITED. You are still required to aim, recharge and switch modes. Allowing for a ALL HACK suit mode would just be an abuse of the nano suit since you would have to aim, recharge or switch suit modes.

No company would ever allow a proposal like yours to be implemented because it makes no sense to fight hackers by allowing everyone to "hack". You would just end up destroying the game

Hello Crytek,

Hello CryTom and CryAdam and hello Mr. Yerli,

i′m from Germany and i think you can turn off the servers. Think about the game on PC and program this thing to the end. I like that game, i like the first Crysis and i can′t unterstand what the hell you′re doing here.

Crytek stands for "Quality" and good games, but what you do in this case is a complete "U-TURN" to the Community. I hope you can handle all of this problems and give the PC-Community the game that they want and that they′ve deserve.
I love the singleplayer, the story, the graphics and the hole game, but all of these little problems together results in a huge negative picture in relation to Crysis 1. Please communicate with us and speak to the community. You make a good job before the gamerelease, make a good job after the release too please.

Regards

PS: Sorry for bad english ;)

This game reminds me of the first Star wars Dark forces 2 online. You could just download hack packs and ruin every server. Thats the last time I saw a game store everything on the client side for multi. That game came out in 1995.
