Screw everyone who says Super-soldier was too easy

Post » Tue Nov 09, 2010 8:04 pm

Title. I just beat it again on Super-Soldier (first time on Soldier) and it was hella hard. Some parts weren't too bad if you have patience and don't screw up, but the rest was killer. Anyway, now that I beat it I can finally relax on Recruit and screw around.

I finished it in 6 hours :/ with a controller it's somewhat of a challenge, but using a mouse and keyboard it was very easy.

Still, it was fun.

I say it was too easy.
Be gentle ;)

Ninja Gaiden 2 is hard... This... This is nothing. :P
A sniper, a suppressor, decent aim and some tactics is all you need.
Almost everything can be killed with a single well executed attack.

Also; buy me a cat.

for me it wass way too easy as the AI kept getting stuck or just looking at me and not doing anything, way to easy. but if the AI worked for you and you didnt get masny bugs then it should have been alright. but mine svck asshole's ruind my hole game was absalutly sh!t

I think the difficulty depends on what kind of thinker you are, to be honest.
Every area had some very easy methods for getting through them, and some incredibly difficult ones.

I found the hardest way was trying to be joe action hero and sliding around jumping etc.. since they don't seem to suffer any accuracy penalty to you flying around. Pinger will just kick you in the head and laugh heartily.

Supersoldier is what Post-Human Warrior was called back when the leak came out.

I only attempted maximum difficulty and found it quite easy. Afterward I took a look at the lower difficulties and just laughed.

Scynix is right in saying it really is all about how you tackle situations given your options.

Oh well, at least there's a place to practice them air stomps for laughs.

On ps3 (and maybe 360) the hardest difficulty is called super soldier, on PC it's post human warrior.

I'm certain it was called SuperSoldier on PC - that's what I called it and I haven' seen the console versions.

It is very hard if you play with a run and gun style - it's artificially hard. The enemies gain superhuman accuracy and the ability to instantly see you wherever you are on the maps. Yes you can stealth your way through the game but what's the fun in that.

It's not too bad...although I just got to the part where I fight my first Pinger and that thing murders me as soon as it spots me. I literally had it within one explosive to kill it and I was running away in cloak to get a JAW, next thing I know it looks right at me in cloak (didn't drain my energy yet) and sprays the living hell out of me with bullets...(drained energy and life force)

I've had the AI become alerted to my presence when I'm in a subway tunnel - those **** have either got xray vision or superhearing :D

Yea, I also got this. It's crazy.

IMO best tactic to it is to kill right when he enters the map - no time for AI to shoot for long enough to make you dead.

And yea, the Post Human Warrior level is quite easy. :) Last mission is annoying though if you promise yourself not to exploit the AI dumbness.

Its just like Crysis and Warhead was.. Cloak makes the game very easy regardless of setting. Infact Crysis and Warhead were probably harder because you couldnt do the majority of the game with a silenced pistol in Cloak.

I finished the game on Veteran first, then went through on Super Soldier. I stealthed through most of it, but there were some tough parts, for sure I had the most trouble with the third pinger fight. For whetever reason, I didn't have as tough a time with the four cloaked cephs at the end of the last level- I made sure I stocked up on JAWs and C4, and that took them out pretty quick....

I stealth killed two of them and then melee spammed the other two to death. There should have been something more epic at the end of the game. Even a Pinger would have been better.
