Why do i buy a game when i cant play it online

when i want to join a game it says "Serial number already in use"...
does this mean any idiot with a keygen can play for free and those who broght the Game are the losers with the original key ?

anyone got the same problem ?

I can play on line but on a server last night I got the same message. Yet I was fine to play on other servers.
