Secondly, yes it would seem that we were sold out to a point by Crytek and that the release was laden with false advertising and shallow promises. It is however only 6 days after the release of the game. 99% of the problems encountered have only just been found out about from the launch and the sheer level of people who have started playing the game. If the speculation is true regarding the rushed release due to EA wanting their 360 games sales upping, then you can hardly blame Crytek for that. It's a shallow and naive guess to think that they're now sat there drinking their cocktails and wiping their asses with our money. Truth is, they're probably working ridiculously hard to try and fix these issues; and who knows, maybe patch some extra stuff in for us that the consoles won't get.
Until we know for definite what's happening, for me at least it's not fair to be throwing accusations around. If you've ever worked closely with a publisher, you'll know that you're extremely restricted in what you're allowed to say to the public. These guys will be on some tight leashes, so posting threads dictating that you ABSOLUTELY MUST GET YOUR DX11 PATCH OR YOU'LL SELL YOUR GAME, or F*CKING IDIOTS CRYTEK WHY DON'T WE HAVE AN EDITOR, ANSWER ME NOW!!!!! just won't get you anywhere fast. These guys have more pressing things to worry about than responding to people who fail to string together a coherent sentence in an attempt to be able to enjoy their game a little bit better.
Crytek will be working first and foremost on the problems that make the game unplayable for people. I mean UNPLAYABLE, such as the multi GPU flickering, constant mp disconnections, game failing to launch, no login etc. DX11 will not be a priority, as won't the sandbox, parallel bump-mapping occlusion tesselation bullsh*t that is constantly raged about.
Give these guys a bit of time to see what they can do for us. It's not life threatening, and maybe you'll have to wait a bit longer for your game to work fully but really... are you gunna lose sleep over it? They could have told us that the pc version would be released on the 1st May and we would have been happy. So they released it slightly early and are working to fix the problems. I know that I personally would prefer them to take their time over the patches to get them spot on rather than jumping to your beck and call to keep you happy short term until you find another small bug.
