Would you ,knowing another title was "achieved with Cryengine3" make you buy it in future or make you hold off, like Unreal3 does for me ?

Different engines, Ive been modding games for about 10 years and never got around to the cry engine. I promised myself this release I would and thats why I got it.
Unreal though from a modding perspective is probably the easiest I have used and has some great tools. Problem with unreal is everything sorta looks the same, dosnt matter what game it is, you know its the unreal engine ( with the only exception going to badlands for there stylised look)

The only engine I am really looking forward to is the new id tec. It looks stunning and the tools look like they could set the standard for years to come. roll on september!

No, I wouldn't.

I would first though look for some reviews by PC players to see if that isn't just a poor console port.

Unreal engine with this "style" also repels me off. It's odd though, cause UE on iOS does seem to behave much better. I guess it's cause they couldn't use these ridiculous shaders out there.

Even though Aion was trash, i bought it because of the cryengine. This is an amazing engine. And this new iteration delivers very impressive visuals that don't negatively impact performance.

In their video, they said that their engine will support DX11 and brilliant AI.
I can see rubbles fall from a building and crash with a container. The container loss its shape.

I can't find these ting in Crysis 2. I will never ever buy any game that implement the engine. Unless some good news about it.

It was a tech video, and does not represent Crysis 2. Yes it used assets from the game, but it doesn't necessarily mean it will be in the game. Even some tech videos for CryEngine 2 used Crysis assets, and some areas of the game were never included with the actual game.

I do pray that one day we get something like this, after all, it's still early days for this game and engine.

At the moment, I don't know any other 'big' titles that have made use of CE3, but I can tell you, there is a video somewhere on the web showing other games/projects being made on CE3. Here's the link:

I wouldn't buy anything related to crytek, except FC and C1. Getting ripped off in historically most overdone manner just dissolves the fanaticism and support I had for them all these years.

Thanks. But their video shown that their engine will support these things. Crysis 2 was created on the engine. So, it should has these things too.

Unreal Tournament 3 was and still is a brilliant game on Unreal Engine 3.
