Just wondering if it was possible with enough rockets and/or bullets. I tried shooting a JAW rocket, but 1 didn't seem to be enough and my friend didn't have rockets equipped

Did it hit it? I have taken a gunship down with a JAW, however I have also shot one right through the middle as well and it went right on out the other side and did not detonate. SO first make sure he hit it. Then yes, it will go down with the HMG as well, you just have to give it a good Rambo move

In multiplayer yes. One Jaw hit will do it or a few clips from an assault rifle. In SP only in certain spots where you are INSTRUCTED to take one out.

2 JAWs or 1 JAW and a few bullets will take down a Ceph Gunship. It wont be destroyed, it will just fly away but you get 300 EXP for doing it.

2 JAWS, sometimes 1. Or a few hits from the Gauss Attachment for rifles.

It's very easy to take one down I think.

Yes, 4 rockets to destroy a gunship, mind you I was playing on hard.

Mind hitting the cockpit with all 4, if you miss, well, there goes that rocket.
Was kinda funny, marines was fighting a gunship, I flanked it and thought I shoot it in the rear.
Where a big red light bulb is located, figures that thing must be the weak spot.
Damn I was right, that spot was so weak the rocket I shot went right throw!

Just to clarify, I was talking about the CEPH gunships in MP.

Like Hedgehog8 said, you can kill em in MP and you get 300 xp, atleast i did once in the demo :] Used the machine gun lol

Gauss Rifle can do it in 2-3 hits.
