I was accually underwhelmed by crysis 1... pretty though, if it wasnt for the bugs i think c2 single player is far more enjoyable.

Honestly the only good game I can remember in recent memory is Farcry 1.

For the time that came out, people **** bricks over the beauty. I don't think crytek stands much of a chance of making a AAA pc exclusive shooter again.

Even if it wasn't, it's pretty grim that so many are actually seeing the same problems with the industry nowadays. The last stands of true PC gaming seem to be being made now by the strategy and flight sim games companies, as the FPS games houses seem to have all pretty much drunk the console kool-aid, rolled over in the gutter and given up their last shreds of integrity.

Theres a huge market there for pc. Just devs need to tap into it correctly.
Digital destrubtion is key on pc and normal retail sales simply are not there in a lot of shops.

Main things that are killing pc are drm for one. It murders sales of a title but the people in suits dont see than.
There really isnt anything that taps into the power of pc gameing right now. Once something is released probably by an indi dev, they will get huge sales and we will see copycat publishers trying to tap in as usuall.

Regarding Crytec, I think if they release the new sandbox 3 and some decent tools, it would be a good start ro repairing the rep. Or they can take the easy route and focus on consoles in the hope there engine sells for the next 2 years before the next gen of consoles are out. Very risky either way.

Point is... All these other Developers of those games(Witcher 2 and even Battlefield 3) will be considerate of the PC gamer. Witcher 2 will be PC 1st so it will kick ass. Battlefield 3 will be tailored to PC so the graphics and textures will be KICK ASS. It won't be like Crysis2 where all the textures are the same ones that have been scaled down to fit into xbox's 512MB of memory
