Crysis 2 review / MP issues

Crysis 2 - good game. Completely failed multiplayer.
Id like to start out by saying that I would give the single player part of the game a good score 9/10 or something like that. The only thing preventing it from having been a great single player game is that there were a good few too many technical glitches in the game (hostiles getting stuck in walls the game crashing a handful of times) Other than that I was excited to play the game and I found the grafix work simply stunning.

Given that Id give the mutiplayer MAYBE a 3/10 at most. The head designer should be let go for unadvlterated incompetence. Given the low low rating the one thing about the multiplayer I liked the the leveling system It kept me semi interested until the disgust overcame it. To list all of the faults would take hours but ill give a short list so the game hopefully gets fixed asap before I sell my copy back to the store.

Waiting screens. Holly crap for a 10 minute match I am spending at least 10% of that time before hand waiting for people to vote please 20 seconds at MOST for people to vote would be fine this combined with the long load time and semi often dropped games makes me waste far too much of my time.

Cheating. Its been two weeks and Crytek has had to push out two patches to deal with cheating and they still have not even come close to dealing with the problem. It would be semi understandable if the security pro working on this did not leave open the most glaring hole imaginable. Again this person simply did not do their job,

Combat. Ya....almost the whole thing... In the single player version combat was semi well balanced. You would engage an enemy and it would take a few moments and you would either win or loose. However multi-player, by the time you know you are in combat its over. Literally any single engagement lasts 1/2, 1 or 2 seconds at most. Even if I win (not too often) I get absolutely no satisfaction. When the fighting is milliseconds long you get no satisfaction from a hard fought victory. Speed kills like this are crap, just plain boring crap.

Getting attacked from behind means one thing death. Due to a ridiculously slow turn rate d the fact that it takes only take the before mentioned 1 or at most 2 seconds to to kill somone leaves almost no point in fighting back. I often find myself just sprinting forward hoping to find someone else to kill before the guy behind me gets their sights on for the kill.

Death Replay cam. Not a bad thing I kinda like it. But ive noticed something over the last two weeks..... Even in the replay cam about ? of the time there are no fricking bullets hitting me when I die. At first I figured id do as the game suggested and watch the replays some so I can get better and figure out what went wrong. Now I simply watch and go “what the hell is wrong I DID dodge those bullets the replay even says so see hes hitting the side of the truck not my character”

Auto aim feature. Great job some people have it and some now dont, way to keep the playing field ballanced fun and enjoyable

Just general balance. Ill be blunt I am not very good at this game. Which to me is odd, I am a mediocre gamer Ive played plenty of FPS's before and Ive always been mddle of the pack unless I put in far too much effort. But even still I managed to beat the singleplayer game on medium difficulty with very few deaths. So I went into the multiplayer think hey I will be better than some but worse than the good players. But here I find myself with a 2-1 death to kill ratio. Yet at the same time I still can score the MVP award in crash site based games etc about ? the time. This just leaves me with the feeling something is just wrong with the game. Once again I really enjoyed the single player however however now due to the horrible multiplayer experience I think of the game with disgust. I catch myself thinking “Is everyone cheating in this game” , “How the heck did that guy follow me with his gun does he have the auto aim feature?” “Do I have the wrong hardware?” . The last one is a semi serious question, It seems like some people just have different hardware. I am using the ps3 remote and sometimes I think I am playing with PC players who have a mouse and can thus aim better? If any one has any suggestions on how to make the mutiplayer fun Id appreciate it but so far to me things are just way way off.

Your generous with a 3/10 for multiplayer cause i give it a 0/10 simply because i get disconnected every game and this is the only game i ever had issue with in multiplayer.
