So the title of the post pretty much sums up my problem. I'll be playing on extreme settings at 1080p just fine (around 30-35 fps), then all of a sudden the game will just freeze up for a couple of seconds, and then briefly go black. After this happens, the game comes back up, however there is a HUGE frame rate lag. I get around 10-15 fps. Mouse input becomes extremely laggy, and all of these problems occur at all resolutions that i try, and all of the graphic option levels. The only way I have resolved this problem is to do a complete restart of my computer. After it boots back up, the game runs smoothly until it decides to randomly happen again. Do you guys have any idea how I might solve this problem, or is it something that needs to be patched?

I have the EXACT same problem and submitted an email to Crytek...

What video card do you have? mine is a GTX 460.


EDIT: I see you added it, I wonder if it's nvidia's hardware...
