Question: Armor Mode and Sliding

Post » Thu Nov 11, 2010 11:23 pm

I didn't reach Armor Enhance Lvl3 yet.

At lvl 2 you can run in Armor Mode but you can't slide.
I **** love slide!! I can't play without sliding, is one of the only things that Crytek don't messed in this game.

Do you know if at lvl 3 of Armor Enhance can you slide? If it's not the case, please Crytek be coherent and enable it. If you can run at lvl2 of Armor Enhance you should be able to slide too.

not-to-die?
You know, besides jumping like a Bugs Bunny this is probably the best tactic to avoid death in direct duels, especially if you got this leveled.

If you can negate all side effects from armor mode, you should be able to upgrade the power and cloak like that as well.

Armor mode is useless.

I never use it and I do fine, at L48 with a 4.35 k/d ratio.

Armour mode is definitely VERY useful if you play Crash site, although personally Armour Enhance doesn't appeal to my playstyle. If I wanted to run around lit up like a Christmas tree though it'd be my first choice.

Try playing with people who can aim.

Yeah, you have a point there.

Random headshots, being a shiny and slow turd, impossibility of sliding, being killed with still energy left, etc... Stealth Mode is 100 times more useful than Armor Mode, it's a fact.
Armor mode only is useful to survive grenades.

I only want to reach lvl 12 on Armor and never more push the Q key.

Still I want to be able to slide when in armor mode.

I play with everybody I can, and it's always the same...

If you don't know why I'll tell you... Because you're supposed to aim for the head, and no amount of armor will save you then anyway.

I'm finding it less and less useful to engage armor mode, expect for, like you said, to survive grenades.

I think the idea behind it was that armor mode slows you down too much to slide because you become heavier (poor excuse though, really). By the same token technically air stomp should do more damage if you had armor mode on.

Perhaps you could go into a slide and then toggle armor mode on? That would slow you down drastically though, you might as well crouch.

headhot damage multiplier could do with a nerf imo.

I agree but only with automatic weapons.

A headshot with the DG1, Gauss or the Grendel deserves an one-shot kill.
