Ceph vs Player Multiplayer Mode?

So I was thinking, how about a mode that's similiar to Halo Reach's Firefight. You and 4 other Nanosuit players go against Ceph A.I units (on any of the ultiplayer maps) in never ending and increasingly difficult waves. Instead of points you collect Nano Catalyst which you can use to buy weapons, ammunition, and moduals.

The enemies would be...

■Ceph Grunt- Drops 100 Nano Catalyst
■Ceph Stalker- Drops 100 Nano Catalyst
■Ceph Stalker Commander- Drops 300 Nano Catalyst (the glowing red guys)
■Ceph Devastator- Drops 500 Nano Catalyst (the tank guy)
■Ceph Pinger- Drops 2,000 Nano Catalyst
■Ceph Guardian Unit- Drops 5,000 Nano Catalyst (the nigh invinsible boss ceph units that you have to fight at the end of the game)

So? Would it make a good DLC (free or not)?

If the cloaked Ceph drop that much compared to all the others it would be broken from the get go. They arnt any more difficult than regular Ceph to defeat.

Which is why you would ramp up their difficulty and save them as boss fights.

tbh i was thinking more L4D style, 6 Nano suits vs 6 Ceph in a downright TDM, with the ceph having their own kind of abilities mainly based around their speed, but then again i guess on the consoles crappy p2p that would be insane, teleporting aliens :(

If it's teambased maybe split the earned points with everyone and some kind of multiplier depending on the finishing time? That way you get more rewarded for better teamwork and you all are equally happy. :)

I like the idea tho.

How about 4/6 players fighting C.E.L.L. infantry and vehicles, and save the Ceph for the boss waves? I was actually thinking this earlier today, sounds like a winner to me!

i wouldn't mind to be able to be an alien. i would prefer that the Aliens have their own set of abilities, Namely Visor, Mobility and Power.

Visor does stuff like threat traces and better seeing of cloaked people
Mobility increases jumping, running, and wall climbing abilities
Power increases your defence, and your strenght.


Aliens work because they are fast, and seem to have more powerful weapons than humans. in SP they just use the weapons badly.

the most notable difference should be an energy-based system for the Aliens VS suit power and ammo for the Nanopeople.


to make the game mode fair, spread ammo boxes and weapons across the level while the Nanosuits only get a handgun to begin with.


the Aliens begin armed, having their own little weapon.

sounds good. ive always had fun on l4d's servival, GOW's hoard, and halo's firefight. i dont see a problem in crysis having its own "invasion" mode

They had something like that in aliens vs predator. One predator and 5 marines and whichever marine kills the predator becomes the predator. A game mode like that would be crazy awesome in crysis 2, however i have to say that 15 cell seems excessive assuming they are all player controlled.

Im thinking we start a poll?
Help us out Crytom/adam?!?!?!!

Was that the newer AvP game or the 2000 ones. I don't remember that in the 2010 AvP. Also, I said 15 CELL because the NanoSuit should be able to handle that many opponents, even if they are humans. The game could also be one suit guy, one team of CELL and one team of Marines, a la Metal Gear Online stealth Snake game mode.
