MP K-Volt Tactics?

First time poster here. Loving the game but I cannot use the K-volt to save my life! It takes so long to kill that I cannot think of any reason why I would pick it over FELINE. Any tips on how to use it? Module combinations etc.?

k-volt drains energy, its the plasma pistol of Crysis, meant for close range followed by a knuckle to the jaw, it only takes about 3 shots to drain the suit completely of its energy

What coolguycooldude said :) I'd personally cloak and avoid detection until I can get close to an enemy, shoot them with the K-volt a few times to rid them of their energy and then whack 'em.

ahh ok I'll try that thanks. Just seems like a lot more skill and effort required than the other automatic guns.

The K-Volt does up to 17 damage per pellet. The feline does 20, the scarab does 24.
The K-Volt fires 850 rounds per minute. The feline fires 1200, the scarab fires 900.
The K-Volt pellets travel at a speed of 200. Compare that to regular weapons that have projectiles traveling at a speed of 1100.

Every pellet drains 20 energy and sustained fire is more accurate than the feline but still, the conclusion is pretty obvious.
Don't use the K-Volt.

Yes, I have seen the den kirson stats but I was hoping it performed better in game than on paper because I couldn't believe they would overlook it so greatly. Guess they did. Guess I'll go back to the single shot jackal!
