What so you mean Crysis 1 had bugs?

Judging by people's posts on this forum I was under the impression that crysis 1 was the best most bug free PC game ever and the evil consoles are the ones adding bugs into the game.

But no seriously, people overexaggerhate the awesomeness of Crysis and become even hypocritical where instead of hating it like they used to, they love it in order to hate Crysis 2 more. It's pathetic lol

Well you do have a tenancy to defend the terrible crap in crysis 2 silentphenomed. With all the mods i have in crysis 1, the game never looked better! Crysis 2 is absolute crap compared to crysis 1, even crysis vanilla. the few bad textures in crysis 1 is the norm in crysis 2.

I don't defend the terrible crap in Crysis 2, I defend the GOOD aspects of the game and the game as a whole because I look at the game in a general view, unlike people like you who look at it's specific negative aspects. Don't worry, i've noticed the bugs and crap, i don't like them at all, but I know why they exist and I know why they aren't Crytek's fault. THAT'S WHY I still defend AND also because Crytek is fixing most issues. Think a bit before you make high claims, there's a reason why you have a brain.

And Crysis 1 modded? Dude, just wait for Crysis 2 mods LMAO. Config files are already being released for maximum graphics, but I mean, wait for someone to make a full texture pack for beauty like they did in Crysis 1. AND THE ONLY thing Crysis 1 vanilla has over Crysis 2 is textures, and even in Crysis 2 a number of textures are with the same level of resolution to Crysis 1. The lighting, shadowing, and water effects are superior in Crysis 2 to Crysis 1 and everything else remains the same in terms of graphics. In addition, Crysis 2 is simply an absolute BLAST to play. I have enjoyed every bit of it. Crysis 1 had times where I got bored and just stopped playing for awhile....wtf? Crysis 2, I can't stop playing it. THAT'S something I take a big note on.

AND FYI, Crysis 2 with low res textures on PC was mainly for optimization, NOT consoles. FYI, the textures we see on the PC version are not on the consoles. The consoles actually have WORSE textures......idk if its the resolution as a whole or whatnot but the textures definately look worse.

Yes, overall Crysis2 is, or it will be for those who are stuck with dual GPU issues after it's going to be fixed, an enjoyable gaming experience. It all depends if you want to see the glass half empty, or you like to see it half full. Personally, I don't even compare the two Crysis, as they represent two different engines and gaming periods context, not to mention the different marketing and economical realities. It really annoys me the presence of such bugs, but we all have seen that Crytek is actually working on improving the game. For example, for many the new patch has already improved the MP experience, and I have noticed a better AI in SP, at the most difficult level at least. All will get fixed in due time, it's difficult doing miracles under pressure and limited time.

Yes, most of us spent those 60$ for the game and had high expectations, and we would like to see the game worth its price. However, I think that now, what we all need to take a big breath and could use some patience. Ranting and venting in this forum has got a bit out of hand, which has brought and caused some alienation from reality. Let's remember that it is a game that we are talking about, it is something digital. I look forward for the improvements that Crytek will deliver, which be sure will come soon, and in the meantime, there's plenty of other good games, life goes on.
