"Video Card Not Supported" Error Message

Post » Tue Dec 14, 2010 1:41 pm

Is there a way I can stop this from popping up every time I start the game? I can run the game perfectly fine, so its pretty annoying having to deal with that every time I start the game. Especially considering the game goes into full screen mode and I have to alt+tab in order to click ok.

It's something I've asked too, but with no luck.

This is like the same thing as: The operation could not be completed because an error occurred. Operation completed successfully!

Before we even start going down that road, I have assessed my hardware and specs, the root of the issue is not driver related, its the actual card itself. The nVidia GeForce GT 220. The card is listed as a non-supported card. But I got Crysis 2 anyway, and it runs perfectly. So obviously, the Cryengine system whining at me about the card not being supported is the issue. Short of buying a new graphics card, is there just some way to disable the message? Maybe a modification to an .ini somewhere or something?

dude no offense but ummmm my 3 year old laptop has a stronger card in it. the gtx 220 is VERY weak yes it CAN run crysis2 but why would you? the gtx 440 i hear is cheap and its ALOT more powerfull then the 220. the 220 was the very low end of the 200 series. wierd thing is my laptop gave me the SAME message too but i did a clean install of the 266.58 v driver and the problem never happened again. do a clean driver install to 270.51 beta and see how that works for you. good lukc

I get that message and I have XFX Radeon 6850 1GB DDR5. Game works without any problems though. How do I remove that message? Anybody?

It is apparent to me that short of getting another graphics card nothing can be done. Oh well. I'll just have to svck it up.
