Crysis 3 Ideas (Please Crytek Read)

Post » Thu Dec 16, 2010 9:39 am

So I was thinking a couple days ago about Crysis 3.

And here are my thoughts:

1.IT WILL BE NEXT-GEN

Assuming it will come in 4 years, it will be next-gen. It's right consoles may have screwed up Crysis 2, but I think it won't happen with Crysis 3. Brand new hardware, in both consoles and PC.

2.CRYTEK WILL LEARN WITH THE ERRORS

Why? Community = Customers. Period.

3.BETTER PLANNING AND SCHEDULING

I made a thead a few weeks before the game release, saying I could wait more for game fine-tuning. NOBODY replyed on my side. Now we can see who was right.

Post your Ideas, I'll update this thread with the best advice and opinions.

yes

wait for the next generation of consoles like Bethesda did for Oblivion

oblivion needed NO compromises

furthermore,

drop the COD multiplayer, there are way too many "me too" games like that.

Add Multiplayer co op ala firefight or horde

Keep the focused campaign and its lenght

Bethesda better get it right with this new engine, because the games based on the old, obsolete Gamebryo engine are absolute garbage in technical terms. Like the excellent Fallout 3 and New Vegas games that have lots of issues unfortunately...

true but that is beside the point

Hell...I remember with Oblivion the PC players were pissed at Bethesda because only the 360 would have certain effects available at the same time and PC would not...

Well, what i meant to say was that Crysis 2 is nowhere near unplayable unlike those games (especially FO:NV), it just needs a few fixes to be a stellar game, on my book anyway. :)

And before complaining, I AM a Crysis 1 / Warhead fan.

I DID like the C2's SP AND MP. The story is good, more complex and unpredictable than C1's. The MP is fun also. My point is, it could be much better, I'm not entering in details since everyone knows it.

C3 CAN be one of the best shooters ever.

Why? Lets see...

1. Reasons in first post

+

Stunning story (every trilogy ending is epic)

+

Back to origins, I mean, open-ended gameplay

+

Beta tests. Launch a game without it? WTF?

Crysis 3 must use Crysis 2's ending to go back to a jungle setting. MUST. And then mix it up with other urban areas but the game must have some jungle.

It must push graphics on PC again, I found some awesome features in Crysis 2 but they were really rare.

We must be able to customize every weapon with every attachment again.

Why are we talking about crysis 3 when 2 just came out not to long because I doubt devs will even remember this if they even these posts. Plus after what happened and still happening I doubt there will be many people who will buy it. I sure as hell won't buy the next one. Just plain garbage.

It was their first time on console so of course they were going to **** up, that doesn't mean they can't learn from it.
I didn't like Mass Effect and i thought it was garbage but Mass Effect 2 was awesome and I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 3.

^this.

I mean, they can't fail harder than they failed. They will learn with the errors.

Beside this, 80% is EA/M$ fault.

COD multiplayer? LOL, not even. The nanosuit and maps make it way different.

Also, the campaign WAS in full focus for Crysis 2. Two studios worked on Crysis 2. Crytek UK was responsible for MP, that's THEIR effort. Everything else is basically from Crytek that made Crysis 1.

uh? I never said the campaign was unfocused, I said "keep it focused" as in just as focused as crysis 2

as for the COD mulntiplayer what I meant was the ranks, the perks, the levelling and so on and so forth .....oh and the small maps and lack of vehicles of course

1-I completely agree.
Natural jungle+ urban jungle= everyone is happy.
2- There are 2 human factions.

You didn't like ME1 and u liked ME2?! You are one of the rarest ME players to say that! It's usually "you like it or not" ;)

And ME isn't even comparable to Crysis, because Bioware didn't start all over with ME2 but they perfectly continued ME1, that isn't the case with Crysis 2 (Crytek ruined the original Crysis). It's not just because of consoles.

I'm waiting for C3 just because I hope it will be more similar to the original Crysis. But the hope dies last...

The city is great, but i missed the jungle, vehicles, caves, big water areas.
Crysis 3 Must have driveable cars, choppers, boats and vtols. parachute and nuke.
And we can't forget the sandbox with the game!

crysis 3 has to have a good multiplayer mode like in crysis i only realy used to play powerstruggle =/ a good game could last 20 mins and would be very tactical and fun now its just aim and shoot with powerstruggle you would capture a base and get points to buy weapons it was such a good system not to mention you could buy tanks, helicoptors and vtol also the alien weaponry ='/ i miss this so much

i agree on the jungle though maybe somewhere with a factory to give some indoors
