Total Game Play Time

Post » Mon Apr 04, 2011 9:01 pm

Not sure how everyone else feels about this so I thought I would see what everyone else thought. I finished the game on Extreme Level difficulty in 12 hours, 13 minutes. Hoping that increasing the level difficulty would increase the amount of game time. Never did I think the total time to finish would be so low. Seemed to me Crysis 1 took a long time to finish. Also Crysis 1 was not so boxy and linear in the map. I felt in Crysis 2 I was in a tunnel and path the whole game. Totally different experience and hated it. Please Crytek go back to open environment playing like the first one and give up the checkpoint saving and give us what we loved about Crysis 1 back.

Yea, Crysis 2 being more linear with less to do meant that it was a fair bit shorter. On post-human (hardest diff) I beat it in ~5 hours or so. Meanwhile Crysis 1 clocked in at about 15 - 20 hours.

Uh no....... Crysis 1 took so long becuase you played it with 15fps, play it with 60fps, it will feel much shorter, crysis 2 is still one hell of a long game, and yes I too beat it on Post Human Warrior in 5 hours, on the second run, first time was like 15 hours because of so many deaths and not staring at buildings and the environment beauty for hours.

11 hours for my first playthrough on Soldier, about 12 on Veteran, then about 8 on Supersoldier because after the Veteran playthrough I had it all figured out.

Definately a shorter game than the first. Most aggrevating to me was the non-open feeling, not saving but reaching check points was by far the worst experience of all of it. The whole game felt like I was in a boxed in pathed map. I felt that way in a few parts in Crysis 1 that warranted the path feeling. Hopefully with the lessons learned from Crysys 1 things we liked and what we liked in Crysis 2 will make Crysis 3 all that much better.

C1 has checkpoints too, and quite a few of them, play for an hour or two and you will have like 30 or 40 save games.

C1 campaign is about 10 hours in length, unless you, ofcourse, have to go around and take down every single tree/korean/alien/kick a stone into the water etc.
