what are dog tags for and do they do anything worth while for you? Why does it take so long to get a red dot sight on the feline? WTF?

hedgehog! obviously your a douche bag! way to help the community out! I have no idea what they are for,,,,,if it is simply a tag like an avatar I think they went way overboard,,,,who cares about that? If you get upgrades with them that would be worth picking them up or trying to unlock them,,,,

you collect dog tags from enemies you killed to get killstreaks.
killing enemies will not give killstreaks unless you get the dog tag. its a system that helps prevent camping

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on getting upgrades or something...Didn't realize you had to pick up the dog tag to get the kill streak rewards..I must be picking up more of them than I realized,,
