Do you want to know the best or favourite?.. because they are two different things.

The best is the Nova because its the easiest to use AND the fastest killer. My favourite however is the Hammer.

The Majestic does like 60ish damage per shot.
A player has 120 health.
The DSG-1 also does 60ish damage per shot

According to a friend, it takes 12 Majestic shots to destroy an alien gunship

Majestic is boss in pro mode, especially combined with rapid fire, same goes for the Hammer. The Nova is also very good but not great if you are carrying a relay and need to rely heavily on hip fire. The AY69 is the weakest out of all 4, but good for beginners.

Yeah, my favourite is Nova. High rates of fire and easiest to use ! Majestic is for a confident man who is surely trust in his only fews shot....

Hammer/Majestic if using Rapid Fire; Majestic+Point Fire Enhance if you don't like strange wiffs
If not yeah Nova hands down w/e the module mix. Best one overall. Some actually beast it with AY69 but I don't manage much with it.

My fav remains Hammer.

Nova, majestic is a ghost killer which is awesome, but nova never has failed me, unfortunately all the other guns have, nova retains its balls together even when you have a relay in hand. Please, care to prove me wrong, if you say the majestic is best, lets battle it out in capture the relay, see if your gun dosnt let you down with a distance of 3 meters, anyone who disagrees clearly has not yelled at there screen saying "i shot you like 5 times." Yes the nova does require a clip, but trigger happy people shouldn't have a problem.

As covered in detail above Nova is easy the best and most balanced, however despite the appaling damage of it i cant help but love the AY69 + Extended Clip. It actually pairs quite well with both the sniper and shotgun rush setups i use most often, but takes more work than the others because the rapid firepower is no good to you unless concentrated on the enemys shoulders and neck, unless you are in pro mode but that is a different story.

@coolguy You'd be suprised what shock tactics + 40 rounds of spray can do defending a relay, haha

If you calculated it then you know the only edge the Majestic has over the Nova is the ability to one shot kill to the head on unarmored targets at extremely close range.

To the body the Majestic takes 0.444 seconds to kill.
To the body the Nova takes 0.399 seconds to kill.

The Nova is better and considerably easier to use.

I like using the Majestic because I was under the impression that it dealt a lot of damage. TBH I cannot be arsed going over a million stats to find the optimum pistol but I was under the impression that the Majestic was one of few weapons that could shoot down the Ceph gunship. I have only cleared the Ceph Gunship a few times and on all occasions I was using the Majestic.

On the other hand I have fired entire clips at people with the Majestic, even using the laser sight, and not killed them. I put this down to a combination of my terrible aim and bad hit registration.

Majestic never let me down, while carrying a relay.
I can easily kill 2-3 people in a low within a reload.
Majestic is the big bad monster.

Please tell me what majestic your using, like i said majestic is ghost killer, one shot to cloaked enemies and they are out, but in armor mode takes 4 shots to the torso, which is a huge let down if you miss only 2 bullets, and even with a laser sight, which i have attached, it always misses. Nova is like load as many bullets into the guy as your finger can click the mouse, sure you waste your clip on the guy, but you unloaded the entire clip in him in 2 seconds. (Yes I'm very fast a clicking)

My favorite is the machine gun pistol ~ Unloading a whole clip into someone’s head then finishing them off with a melee hit its Uber Cool

Machine Pellet Gun is what it should be called (Where are my dual gun options?????)

On a serious note I perfer it since it is a machine gun and only that reason

Its way under powered in comparison to the other options

The AY69 is a little weaker than the Nova but its still better than the Hammer and Majestic.

couldn't make much use of the secondaries yet, due to lag and hitbox issues it's all "aim and spray and pray" for me - which is really annoying because i usually prefer semi-auto rifles and pistols in fps. my first platinums in bfbc2 were the m14 (before scopes could be equipped) and the REX revolver. is there a pistol in crysis2 mp you would compare to the rex?

For me it's always a choice between Nova or Majestic. Nova is great for up close hip fire while majestic is great when you take the time to aim.

AY69 is good too, but if you lose sight of your target even for a little bit, because of the high RoF, you end up having to reload mid battle.

Hammer is a weird one, not enough RoF for close ranged spray or dmg to make aiming down sights worth it.
I do like the way it looks.

I'm a bit of a spray and prayer myself so i voted the Hammer xD I would've gone the Nova but you can't beat the 50cal
