People with D-link Routers having Disconnection Issues?

Post » Sun May 22, 2011 8:26 pm

As the title says, I've noticed a few people saying they are being disconected from MP servers after a few minutes of playing and that they had D-link Routers.

Well i have a D-link router aswell a Dir-615 and i was playing fine for two days, Friday 25/3/11/Saturday 26/3/11, but since Sunday 27/3/11 I now have the disconnection problem, Just wanted to know how many people are having this issue and if Cry-Tek know about it.

P.S I do realise threads simmilar to this have been created but i just felt like a thread where a good number of people that are having this issue could post in to make sure it stayed as top news for the Development team.

Cheers.

Yeah I have the same problem - and it's DIR-615. Have you set port forwarding on the ports as well? Also who's your ISP?

Totally same - but you do realize it's only this game, so probably something to do with the coding more than anything else- lets hope that the next patch will fix this.

I also had this problem with DIR-615. I solved it, but I don't know how exactly, since I did several things. I've set up ADSL router so that DIR-615 (that is connected to it) is in DMZ, installed DD-WRT open source firmware on DIR-615 and forwarded all necessary ports on it for crysis 2. Since then I had no problems with disconnects (patch 1.2 installed). My guess is that router firmware was problematic.

I have a DIR-600. 2-5mins of gameplay, and I get disconnected everytime.

If your DIR-600 routers hardware revision is B1 or B2, you can flash it with DD-WRT. You might void routers warranty, but unless it is completely fried, DIR-600 is almost unbrickable.
