Optimization, Resolution Options and Minimum Spec

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 5:40 am

Hello people,

I was just wondering if any of you are playing this at the minimum specs and actually managing to get decent FPS out of it?
Additionally does the full release have the same resolution options of the demo/beta allowing you to go down to 800x600?
I am just skeptical of all games minimum spec ratings nowadays after Battlefield: Bad Company 2 whose minimum specs I have but I can't get above 25 FPS in that game with everything as low as it goes :(

Thanks in advance for any answers as I loved Crysis and would really enjoy playing Crysis 2 from what the demo was like but only if the optimization and things you can tweak with the .ini editor that has been made can actually get 40 FPS on my PC.

Arch

P.S. - If you have come here to troll me about your opinion that people shouldn't be playing the game if they can't play it on max graphics or any other bull like that, don't bother as nothing you say will change anyone's opinion on wanting to play the game.

My specs are:
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4000+ running at 2.1 GHz
GPU - Nvidia 8800 GT
RAM - 4GB Kingston HyperX DDR2

I played Crysis at 800x600 and at 1024x768 fine at 70 and 42 solid FPS though when I played the demo at 800x600 it went from 20-45 FPS.
(If you would like to know anything else just ask)

I believe the demo performance is a little bit worse than full game but not that much maens if u really had problems with demo I wouln't expect to run much much better at full game.

If u play at 800 x600 with minimum/med graphics it should be fine though :) But thats just my idea can't give u a guarantee:)

Your system is enough powerful to run crysis 2 on medium and at good resolution.
Crysis 2 is really well optimised.

Alright, thank you. It must be like Crysis in that sense in that you can run it on an ok PC but you need a beast one to run it on max settings :)

max settings dont look much better than medium in crysis 2. So you arnt missing out much.
