In Power Struggle you could do pretty much anything you wanted. Myself I liked sniping, sneaking I would run n gun sometimes or I could support my team with a heli or spawn truck.
In Power Struggle you earned your weapons and vehicles you didn’t just spawn with a loadout, you could later in the game once you earned enough points.

This is my only disappointed with this game so far. And this will be the reason I wont buy the game if I decide not to. The only reason that I may pick it up is because of the story.....

I have posted something similar on the Crysis subreddit:

I hate multiplayer DLC for the fact that it splits the communities.
But splitting the community for this specific game would mean that only the hardcoe, veteran Crysis players would purchase it and you would see a more serious feeling of players when playing the hypothetical Powerstruggle gamemode for Crysis 2, rather that seeing the goofy and non-serious players that littered the original Powerstruggle of Crysis 1.
It would ultimately mean that Powerstruggle would be a more difficult and more enjoyable experience since only the skilled and knowledgeable veteran players are playing it/paying for it.

Any of you new PC demo players have any opinions about the missing Powerstruggle gamemode (i.e. large maps and vehicular combat)?

Would any of you buy it as a DLC if EA/Crytek released it?

I will NOT pay extra money for some game addon... even in this case if it means powerstruggle ( which i want and miss!! ). In the demo ive already found MANY corner camping cloaked noobs with shotguns and walking with the "nano vision" to get them just leaves me without energy... Its just irritating in these small maps.

I canceled my preorder and getting something else right now. I was really looking forward to the multiplayer ( its what keeps getting back to the game with friends! ). Ill just buy the game later just for the story, but ill get it eventually.

Power struggle was just designed amazingly, allowing people to squad up and play well together in teams, This kicked the hell out of anything that the Battlefield Series had to offer soooo cmon Crytek dont pull a stupid move now! :O :O !!!

After playing the Crysis 2 Demo for an excruciatingly painful couple of hours, the need for power struggle is all the more apparent.

i'll post here what i posted in other topic relating to C2 demo:

i really think we need bigger maps and more complex game mods like PS
the kind of gameplay we have now is just too easy and gets boring pretty fast, i find myself thinking that i've already passed a dozen times by the same place in the same game cause the maps are just too small
all the talk about 6v6 and small maps bringing more teamwork and tactics is a complete bs, you just see everyone running around alone trying to get the most kills they can and the tactics are reduced to "should i take path A or B and should i go on cloak or armour"
furthermore the easiness of the game mods (i hope there are some better still to come on full game) just makes it boring and also reduces the amount of tactics you can use and worst of all, it makes it easy for a single good player win the match for the whole team
last night me and few clan mates were playing the demo and one of them is specially good, no matter what happened, the team were he ended was the wining team, although the rest of his team didnt make much
it just needed his skills and his overpowered ceph gunship every five minutes to overtake the rest of us
i really dont see this game having a long term future on the PC but i hope im wrong

Ceph gunship is not OP, rip a machine gun and put 20 rounds into it (The gunship) and it's over.

Please give us our Powerstruggle back, it really doesn't matter what your doing.
With or without Vehicles, just One or Two little Maps, or what ever is missing to give us

PowerStruggles IS Crysis !

You want play fast paced action Game,
so why you do not go and Play CoD ?
Crytek has sold himself and made from one of the best Shooter Games ever,
just a cheap copy of the oh-so-well-selled ??CoD.
This is just really bad, they messed around with they real old Crysis Fans,
just because they prefer the Money....
I swear after a few months will not even the half people playing Crysis 2 any longer ...

Yes I actually loved the big open environments and the amount of teamwork you have to put into Power Struggle. In Crysis 2 it's like you get killed every time you go around a corner. It's so frustrating. I still play Power Struggle is Crysis Wars and 5 hours go by without me noticing, and I never get bored. I get bored after 3-4 short matches in Crysis 2. So yeah I don't see a future in Crysis 2 multiplayer without Power Struggle.

Maybe in Crysis 2 they could implement a Power Struggle game mode that you still rank up within the game like in Crysis and Crysis Wars, earn points to buy weapons etc. And after the match your score adds up to your leaderboard rankings. I personally don't care about the leaderboards but it's just an idea for those people who do. Oh and vehicles.. we need vehicles =]

I really hope they release a Powerstruggle game mode as a free DLC. If it was a paid DLC with a refreshed and renewed Powerstruggle like how they did with Crysis 2, I would pay for it.

It would only work on PC. Consoles couldn't handle the size with the visuals.

..Give PC Powerstruggle and Consoles a few extra maps.

BC2 worked fine and is hardly any different in visuals compared to my pc version

BC2s graphical quality looks absolutely nothing like the game on PC. Seriously, keep kidding yourself.

Consoles couldn't handle the graphical quality of C2 on even BC2 sized maps. As it is they're barely on 30fps with frequent drops.

Get over yourself - and you statement only covers peolple with gaming rigs - Not all PC are created equal. Only a few can do all the things some PC fanboys go on about thats why its inherantly an incorrect satement to say PC versions are the best .
And yes ive got BC2 on both my systems . Do you even own/play both , systems that is.
MAG for size and yes 256 players. And size of maps is about how its programmed and optimised - bubble streaming etc
