Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 6:07 am

I don't know what you think guys, but the story is like 2-4 hours :S But it's really good made, but Crytek could have made it so much longer tbh, they've had years to do it, but still it's a good game <3

The leak was the same length, so even if he didn't have the retail version, he must've beaten the game for real.

I was lucky and scored off a bug on "Dark Heart" when I went up to this cloaked alien, and somehow grabbed it and then crouch-insta-killed it. Scored 5000 nano points for it, which granted me Deflection and Stealth Enhance early on in the game.

That said, someone who beat the game in 2-4 hours must've used Mobility Enhance to just power-sprint through most of the levels. There's actually a Youtube video of this guy who beat the final level in Crysis 2 without firing a SINGLE shot. Yep, he just sprinted the way through, and then when it came to the
4 cloaked aliens, he just cloaked, walked up to them, grabbed them, and then crouch-insta-killed them. Repeat x4. Game = done. Veteran difficulty.
Granted, I played the whole game on Post Human Warrior without dying once either, but I had to fire my gun plenty.

Don't messed up! Crysis 2's story will last for some what around 8 hours. I was already playing it.

4 hours 2nd hardest difficulty watching all cutscenes/annoying person talking on a tactical map. Also what storyline? Aliens came, blew **** up, you got aides from a someone elses suit and then proceed to murder half a PMC during the middle of a full blown human vs alien conflict, then get some guy in a bottle killed and the park explodes and you jump down a slippery dip and somehow save the world. TBH pelting koreans off the cliffface on some random island made more sense, was also funny...hehe koreans.

EDIT

I think i died twice, while attempting various long jumps between skyscraqers and finding out that quite a few ledges are not of the grab onto me variety. Que nanosuit plummeting 60stories.

It was decent on it's own, but the problem is there's a huge chunk of game missing that tells us what happened to Prophet, Nomad and Psycho inside the alien sphere, why there are no aliens like what we saw in Crysis 1, and how Prophet ended up in NY.

That's because they already have that written in a nice dlc package for £15 that only adds and extra hour, seems about right for the dlc generation of games

Everything else? If you're reffering to hunting down all the stupid hidden newspapers/teddy bears, well they're about as rewarding and immersive as a tornado shredding my house. Apart from pointless hidden trophies theres little else to do, I can't wander off down NY like I could on crysis1 (not biching about it, its nice to have some direction, just saying I can't bugger off into the jungle whenever I feel like it), I really don't care what the back of a trashcan looks like so I don't spend alot of time staring at the scenery (which mostly grey...nice change from the usual fps brown, but still ALOT of grey).

Unless you mean just crouch walk the whole way, well I couldn't be bothered holding down the button, and leaping/sliding around stuff is way more fun.

Post up pics of your kill stats please. If it shows 4 hours to beat the game, and you played it on Normal difficulty, and killed like 3 guys, then you ran through the game and need to crank up the difficulty. It took me a few days to beat it , but I played on Post Human Warrior and the game was so long I had to take breaks and come back to it.

Also on that dfficulty (at least the first time through) you had to take your time getting through some of the levels as their were just too many enemies that you had to comfront to progress.

These are my Crysis campaign stats:

Difficulty: Post Human Warrior
Time to finish: 11hrs 5min
Kills: 702 (Only about 12 of these are multiplayer kills as I only played twice and didn't do that well)
Headshots: 378

11 hours? WTF!!!
I took my time with the SP. Moved slow, sniped, silent killed a lot. Watched all cutscenes.
My Stats are 4H40 min.

So i ask how the fck can someone play teh SP for more than 6 hours?
What are you guys doing? Running a few meters. Sit in a corner doing nothing for 10 minutes or so, make coffee, run a few more meters, go make a sandvich, shoot some bad guys, park in a corner, talk to friends on the phone telling them how awesome this game is. Shoot more people, park in a corner, go take a crap.

Then sure i can understand 6 hours.

On what difficulty? If it was normal or below, then in 4 hours you ran through the game cause on the lower difficulties, you are almost invincible against a barrage of gunfire. If its on Hard or higher, then you are a gaming lord, cause there are a lot! lol

Actully the TC is right, the game itself is about 10/12 hours long BUT the story itself is about 2/4 hours long (and pretty poor IMO).

Also whats with the whole, fight through one small area and then getting a loading screen showing you go from one side of the city to the other? (were the enemies on a tea break?).

Yes it took me about 4 hours taking it, ok maybe 5 then, but still, it's to awesome <3 But don't you agree that they've could make the story abit longer? Cuz it was so long time ago since first Crysis.

Btw Crytek: Well done with Crysis 2 <3

I guess but not much longer. I prefer concentrated fun than diluted fun.
