Can features like this "be patched in"?

I mean, is it possible (theoretically) to patch POM (parallax occlusion mapping) or better physics be patched

I am not sure and I hope so.. so theres a chance that Crytek will make a true Crysis sequel (graphics wise, bc crysis 2 should have looked like crysis 1 with mods :| )

Well, the Physics are there. They just aren't in the maps. In Crysis 1, the physics were the way they were because you were in a jungle. The buildings were crudely designed huts that could easily fall apart. In Crysis 2, its a much more urban environment. The things to destroy are a bit smaller in scale if you know what I mean. You go from a bunch of logs flying from a hut, to pretty sophisticated stuff with concrete. The destruction is there, it's just not used for Artistic and Performance purposes. POM on the other hand, could possibly be patched in. More than likely when DirectX 11 support is finished up.
