Dear Crytek, this is how you make a trailer! WOW!

I'm really only comparing this to the official release trailer (the one with the rap song). I can't for the life of me understand why they used that song when the soundtrack for this entire game is so amazing. Some people liked the trailer that way, but I certainly didn't. It just didn't fit.

Because they were copying Call of Duty, like they did with the entire game;

Yeah I don't see it. :/
Now maybe copying a few scifi movies yes. But I don't see it.

It was pretty cool, but it dragged on really badly..... it sort of gave the whole game away....

As good as it was, there was too much sound insta-fade out with flashing to black. There was also a lack of focus when it came to music and the general mood.
Also, spoilers. Crytek can't show all the cool bits of the game in a trailer ;)

Overall, it was excellent. Not suitable for an official trailer, however.

Less spoiler-tastic, and I think overall better.
Don't watch if you didn't complete the game yet!

Awesome trailer. Yes, it is more of a cinematic trailer, than say a TV spot like the NY, NY remix with B.o.B., which I think was a very good launch trailer for commercial use. But if Crysis 2 were to appear with a cinematic trailer, this would be it. As a fellow post-production and production guy for video I can really appreciate this (although I don't do video games, maybe I should, looks fun haha)

Phenomenal motion graphics work with the Crysis 2 logo also. Wonder what he used. 3d max?

I know Im going to sound absurd for even suggesting feedback, but yes a lot of the static high paced, action shots ring throughout the trailer, I think the "break" at 1:03 could have been elaborated on a bit more. Maybe using some dialogue to explain the story and why Alcatraz is so important. He/she does this with some images during the soft break of citizens, but it seems to go right back into the intense part a bit early. Although, Ill play devils advocate myself and say for a game named "Crisis" it makes sense to keep the intensity up.

Anyways Im digressing phenomenal work!!!

Too many spoilers. Almost every "epic" battle or happening is in that trailer. haha.

Looks freaking sick, though it looks like it was taken on a Console. Some parts at least. However some scenes didn't have to be put in. The one with the FDR falling isn't necessary along with a few others. The part with Central Park rising somehow reminded me of the Battle L.A. trailer. But I admit, it's on the right track. Kudos to the guy who made it.
