The first Crysis?

Post » Sun Mar 13, 2011 12:56 am

Okay, Seriously how many of you have played 'Crysis, Crysis Warhead, or Crysis wars'?
I am sort of taking it that most of the PC gamers have, and some of the XBOXers and the PS people haven't.
But speak for yourself. Have you played the amazing breakthrough in gaming named 'Crysis' that doesn't have a 2 by it?
I mean, and if you haven't don't feel bad... I'm just sort of wondering.
And if you have, tell us your opinion.

Also: I have played all three, and I loved them all. I'm a PC gamer.

No. My PC can barely handle Halo: Combat Evolved, I don't see it running any Crysis game. I'd probably get 60 SPF at minimum settings.

I did. It′s amazing and It was my favourite shooter. But... Crysis 2 it's also great, different, but great I mean, for me both of them are in the throne of shooters :) but in my opinion, Crysis 2 is the necessary step for improving the saga.

I'm playing it right now at 70-90fps on max (with the CCCmod). It's amazing, and still the best looking game on PC without a doubt.

Unfortunately for C2, it also plays better.

the first Crysis and Warhead where great. it kind of felt. less linear, you also felt like more of a super soldure with speed and strength. but it was also a bit hard to do some of the advanced things like jump high without being noticed or move fast but stay invisable. personaly i would like the return of power and speed, but the hotkeys are nice to. so if you could intigrate "the wheel" with the hotkeys it would be nice. so you could still run fast with stealth, but could also just have maximum speed active like the first one, meaning your reloads are faster, your melee is faster and you run faster or power, you hit harder, you aim is precise ( without haveing to hold shift) that would also intigrate the suit uhh mods (the things you need nano catalyst for) into the different modes ( maximum speed = faster reloads, faster aiming ect.). I would like armour mode to be default again. without it you feel like your playing CoD but you can jump high and are really fast.

crysis 1 is a very good game. but it is good because of the awesome graphics and realistic settings, physics. the gameplay in crysis2 was more fun and the graphics are almost as good. but crysis 1 would only run on consoles maybe on lowest settings and res, so what was done so far with crysis2 is impressive. when DX11 is patched i am guessing crysis 2 will surpass crysis1 in graphics. but if someone with a capable pc who hasn't played crysis1 or crysis warhead they are missing out on probably a game that is in the top ten all time, and so far best ever graphics.

Crysis and Crysis Warhead rank amongst some of my most favourite games of all time. Crysis 2 didn't take a big step forward like the originals did on the PC. It's still a great game but if it the PC game had received the kind of attention that Crysis did it would have been an epic game. Huge environments, more intelligent AI, high quality textures, tessellation, real destructibility. I think the early promos for CryEngine 3 that show Crysis2 gameplay demonstrate what the game could have been if it hadn't been held back by the consoles.

However I would not have been able to play it at it's full potential. I would have had to spend at least £300 on new components for my PC. I am playing Crysis 2 now on a PC that is mostly 4-5 years old and was never a high-end gaming PC when the bits were new. I'm very happy with the game now the issues are mostly sorted out - well worth £25 imo.
