Get a refund for Crysis 2

Post » Sun Mar 13, 2011 12:02 am

I always get a chuckle out of internet petitions.

we here in Canada had a petition and it was signed over 500,000 people actually more like 6-7 hundred thousand now. To overturn a law regarding net neutrality and guess what we are getting positive response from our government and in process of overturning the soon to be law. So petitions can work you just need enough people.

Say what you want "genius" but the fact of the matter is that Crytek released Crysis 2 to the PC community while the game still had significant issues. This needs to be addressed!

You act like this isn't the case with every game released in the last 6 years.

yeah no refund for EADM user.

I got nothing to complain except for rampant hackers online and no kick vote, or effective hack proofing system.

is that one day the CryEngine 3 will be used as it should, DX11, pom realistic texture HD, or is this done on purpose so the game runs easily without being too greedy in resource, it can be a strategy marketing.
can you tell if the crytek working on right now ?????
because on mycryengine are talking about the graphics engine and the new, WHICH ARE NOT IN CRYSIS 2 why ??????

Too late, Yerli already made his escape to Argentina. I hear he joined the local Nazi Polo Club and is learning ways to hide his money in Swiss Banks.

Good game but get rid of the bugs, didnt wait for it, if it works well why do you want friggn dx11, to cry and moan when it runs on 17 fps.... Its good its solid its ported but it needs 5 more patches to be playable ( talking about multiplayer)

Find it funny how everyone is complaining about it running terribly on high end systems, yet my build which is dated 2008 can run it on an average of 40-50fps with no crashing, no bugging and only once the GPU gets too hot does it slow down...

Either my machine is a miracle or most of the complaints simply aren't true.

Also another contender for "buggiest release ever", IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover. Crysis 2 is nowhere near that state, yet you still complain...

The past two years have shown one thing: When it comes to games, don't preorder and wait what people say about the game.
Although the last thing is pretty hard to do because these days usually every official board is filled with a multitude of whine threads 2 seconds after the products release. And of course the "let's sue 'em all"-threads have got to appear too.

@Innomadic:
Yeah, my machine must be heaven-sent too as I encountered no problems either. Some people read way too much into marketing talk that every studio / distributor does before the release. Maybe that's a burden of us PC nerds. But these mimimi threads become pretty boring too.

For anyone who isn't clear, this has more to do with just getting back $60.

This is a way to draw attention and raise awareness. Crytek failed to deliver a working product to consumers. If you bought any other product that was not a video game, and during initial use you found the product to be faulty you would simply return the product for a refund.

How is Crysis 2 or any other broken game different? It is a product and should be treated as such.

The Crysis 2 forums are filled with posts from consumers who have experienced these issues, that since release have not been fully addressed by Crytek. We have waited and little to nothing has been done. Now we are fed up and we want something to be done.

I found it funny that you were calling people that misunderstood you "unclear." Then proceeded to make your point more clear.

The reason it hasn't been addressed is because they are working on it. If not, then they will eventually let us know what's happening. One way or another. Welcome to the software world.

I'm pretty sure most of us pre-ordered the game for the story, and would have still done so regardless of awareness of initial bugs (Half Life 2, Crysis 1, Doom 3, just about every other tech-heavy game has opened with serious bugs).

Also happens with every single game that years later people look back and say "y'know, that game was awesome"

Basically these forums look exactly the same as the Bungie.net forums when Reach came out (yes, i have a 360 as well), despite it being superior to previous games in every department...

I had a refund for this game (piece of junk) yesterday. :)
Was a good feeling to have my money back in my pocket.

,,|,,(+).(+) Crytek!

I'am willing to buy this game again if they get rid of all these bugs, get a real anti cheat tool and give out Dx 11 and sandbox but without all that?NO WAY.I pre ordered Brink some mins ago.I don't support any developer anymore who gives a **** **** about the Community who made them big (PC).I wanna support developers who care about their community and YOU Crytek, you don't care, otherwise you wouldn't have dropped this game in this state.

...otherwise you wouldn't have dropped this game in this state.

Then please do tell how games such as Arma 2, which are monumentally buggy upon release, still manage to survive and keep a solid fanbase?

Oh its because they do care and patch the game, numerous times over. Saying they don't give a **** on the basis that the game didn't live up to your expectation is not their fault, but yours. Barely any major release in the past 12 months has NOT had a major patch soon after release.

This game is a small fish in a sea of games that were bugged on release, just be thankful they'll continue to support it.

I dont mean to be negative but give it another 2 weeks and there will be no need to support this game. Online is almost dead as it is already and once the few players actually playing reach level 50...

Wrong, since multiplayer is NOT the only reason why you patch a game. The exact same thing happened with Halo Reach when it came out (console example i know, but i rarely play arcade games on PC...which is why C2 is special :D). The forums were full of doom and gloom, that it was buggy, Bungie could go to hell, lets all go back to CE, lets troll this joint! And the same went on with Halo 3, yet they are still one of the most played games on XBL to date.

Put simply the amount of crap you hear on the forums doesn't always equate to the amount of ACTUAL problems and the ACTUAL amount of people getting rid of the game.

Besides, these days its hard to intrude on the mass popularity of CoD, TF2, CSS etc, so for me the addition of Multiplayer is just something to much around with. I think i'm one of the few who appreciates a good story that does not necessarily need to make sense in terms of realism. Its called Sci-Fi, have some fun with it.

As you might expect petitions for refunds and discussing legal action should not be done in these forums. gamesas is hosted to give news and updates on Crysis 2, help users with issues and allow people to discuss the game with like minded players. This thread doesn't meet one of these criteria.
