Crysis 2 - Official Minimum System Requirements

Post » Mon Mar 28, 2011 11:38 pm

Hello there,
Can any one tell me if the full version of C2 has lower system requirements than the MP demo?
Because I could run C1 @ 20 fps (minimum graphics) and C2 MP demo on gamer (the lowest possible) @1-2:(
Yes I know my system really old and weak but I could run C1 OK,and now Crytek says C2 can run on the same systems.
So is there any way that the full version runs better?
Please answer because I an a big fan of Crysis and wary sad if I can't run it.

Graphics card:ATI mobility radeon 1400x

sorry, but no way u could run it:(

Practically ur computer doesn't even run original crysis, mininum graphic at 20fps? that would be pretty unplayable for me.

If the gameplay is so important to u, u could just buy a new graphic card. The 8800GT doesn't cost much nowadays

I have to give a big compliment what concern the performance:

My System: 4 GB RAM, Nvidia 8800 GTS 640 MB, dual 3.0

and the game runs on "very high" (middle option) with 30 fps !

better graphics for "mid systems"

well done crytek

I have this same problem. My computer runs this game no problem but after playing one mission it will crash at the loading screen. The bar fills up to full and then the screen goes black but then nothing loads and a generic "Crysis 2 has stopped working" appears. I tried drivers, I tried the new patch, it's obviously a software side problem as there is already a thread on this that has 10 pages of the same complaints with completely different systems, OS, etc.

well, at the moment i have maxed out the game by resolutions on 16?? x 1??? (forgot the exact numbers) on 23" monitor and vista home 32-bit with:
-intel core 2 duo 6850 2x2.66ghz
-evga nforce 780i mobo
-2x2gb ocz 800mz
-xfx gtx285

it works fluently in sp and mp. dont know any commands so i cant say fps

but last saturday i ordered by alternate (germans sure know it/ think germanys famoust pc-shop) new and should delivered this week:
- case: Cooler Master HAF RC-922M-KKN1-GP
-CPU: core-i7 2600k 4x3.4ghz boxed (socket 1155/sandybridge)
-MOBO: MSI P67A-GD53 (B3) (Intel? P67 Express) GREM26
-RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600mhz
-win7 home 64-bit

psu and devices will be taken from the actual system

well i wouldnt need sandy bridge cause its intergrated graphic solution, but i find it really funny that 1155 is cheaper then 1156 core i 7 870 4x2.93ghz (and without letter like s or k) and 1366 core i 7 960 4x3.2ghz. ok 1366 supports tri-channel but think dont need care on it.

i hope board and ram are compatible, i phoned them but they dont know. think cause asus and msi are pretty famous and corsair belongs to famoust ram too, should it be compatible:) and i am exciting how results on crysis 2. big difference ore not? i expect faster loading and a bit higher resulution. anyway i can just maximum 1920x1200. i will post it when i did my system:D

EDIT 28.04.2011:
well last week i got my new parts and its more then i expected. i can maxed out it by 1920x1080, its starting and closing the game whithin 2seconds, loading savegames even no 5 seconds lol.

I thought it would be like a 9800GT like i have but 8800GT is a few years olds and the graphics for the low must be kinda bad.

a 8800GT is a 9800 GT... its nearly the same. when you bought a 9800GT in most cases the 8800GT was overlabelt by a 9800GT Sticker. Like GTX260 and GTX275 the same. But almost the same card.
