Until BF3.

Just bought the game yesterday. Built a new system to play this game. What do i get? A two generations old API and 512x512 textures and a multiplayer crawling with hackers. Seriously,BFBC2 has better texture work than this game. At least it isn't as bad as Red faction Guerilla.

Depends on hacker-to-player ratio after the dust settles, I suppose. This game doesn't have what it takes to become a classic, like FC and C1, so few will remember it by the time C3 comes out. It will be gradually forgotten as other titles set the records for gameplay, gfx and other aspects. I expect the release of BF3 to have an impact, but MW3 will steal alot of players who got enough of C2, thanks to being like a pimped CoD.

I give it a month before the hackers and bugs totally kill MP.

That, and MP is just not that great. Tiny maps, and no real point to it.

Hope they get something to actually work to counter the hackers, atleast some of the script abusers are gone quite a few ive not run accross for a while now.
