Fallout port to Nintendo DS?

Post » Fri Aug 14, 2009 1:08 pm

I have never played fallout 2 or tactics and i don't own a nintendo DS but i have seen one and it looks to me like you could make a pretty good port to it from seeing what the handheld does. Obviously it would bemore like fallout 1 and 2 (not fo3) but it seems like it could potentially work...

I can see how it would work, but the lack of resolution might make it painful to play. I can't play the originals with out the hi-res hacks, the idea of playing on 320x2whateveritis screens (albeit 2 of them) is pretty horrid.

I have to agree. I tried to play Civilization on the DS, and it was indeed an eye-strainer.

This is off-topic, but one game I would love to see on the DS is Bullfrog's Theme Hospital.

I think it is a great idea! Porting the originals over to the DS is a great idea! The resolution is really not all that bad at all, and the DS could use an RPG that is not a JRPG. Go for it!

It would be awesome especially on the
Spoiler
upcoming DSi which has both screens touch-interactive.

First of all the DSi isn't 'upcoming'. Its out in Japan
Second of all, it still has only one touchscreen

I'd love to see FO/FO2 on XBLA

Nintendo would accept such a heavily mature game on its consoles? Hmm, think not.

Conker's Bad Fur Day was the most mature game to be released on a Nintendo platform. It was an exception, I believe as there no Ads about the game in any Nintendo magazines. The release date was not even listed in the same magazines.

Whoa, that games looks very good. Good thing I have a Wii. :)
Although this game is indeed very brutal and violent, I personally find Conker's Bad Fur Day to be more mature. Heavy sixual references, heavy usage of alchool and drugs, very very bad language. All things that Fallout has. But it indeed does not have the brutal deaths shown in that video.

I'm eagerly waiting for that game to be released now. :)

yeh madworld does look pretty good... normally i much prefer games like fallout (i still havent played fallout 2, i don't own it) than some of the really awful immature nintendo games.
