Anyway to remove that annoying waypoint?

The backwards console dumb down already make me mad but this persistent waypoint really gets me. Anyway to remove it?

Seriously though, I haven't tried yet but shouldn't it be gone in super soldier mode similar to how the guys only spoke chinese in the hardest difficulty in Crysis 1?

Yeah it doesn't go away in post-human.
Maybe a way to remove the HUD altogether?

I didn't find a way but it is annoying-- especially when you're trying to kill some dude and that icon is RIGHT over him and you can't see.

An update for you ...
You can bind a couple of keys so that you can turn it on and off in game ...

bind 9 hud_hide 1
bind 0 hud_hide 0

where the 9 and the 0 are the keys you want to use.
