What he's refering too is changing the graphical settings within the limits of the game so cloaked enemies stand out more, something that's been done for year and years in PC games.

Have you seen the config files of Quake 3/live, 1.6 players? True PC gamers see nothing wrong with this. Anyone who sees something wrong with editing config files to give an advantage is a simple consolized idiot who never truly played PC gaming.

i dont know if this is a bug or something, but sometimes when an enemy is invisible, i see his weapon floating

have the same thing and sometimes when I scope with dsg in nano vision i can see ppl hiding behind walls.

Yes with visor enhance you can see people thats far away behind walls. You see the red outline. Thats what i get.
Also sometimes i have floating guns too! Although the player is still cloaked.

Disabling the film SSAO, edge AA, anisotropic filter and MSAA and will make thing that are far away more sharper, and thus making cloaked stand out a little more
of course, increasing the FOV is never a bad thing too

Use the crysis 2 advanced graphic option edior to change these settings

heh played cs from beta to 1.6 and never used script or configs, just cause other people use it to get to the top doesnt mean i need to lower myself to their level of fair gameplay respect.

I went on a buddy's computer the other day and found that his computer runs the game smoother than mine does and his ability to pick up the cloaked players was unreal! I could see them from a good distance away without trying to find them.

So I was wondering if there is any setting tweaks I could specifically do to increase my quality of graphics.

He runs only a dual core 2.41 ghz processor with 2g ram and a 4800 ati radeon (which only has 256 mb memory)

I currently run 2.83 quad core with 4g ram and a ati radeon 3870 x2 1g video card. I should expect that mine should have much more power than his...but maybe his runs better because of the higher up graphics card or could monitors change the quality?

Really need help so I can up my game just that much better


im not sure but if you lvl up your cloak skill to lvl 3 i think, you can see the cloaked enemys very good, mabey he have it maxed ?

Yeah I know about that perk but I dont use it, so its either bug or a nano vision thing ( I can see ppl when they arent cloaked but behind the wall )

He hasn't played the game much he is only lvl 8 so he didn't have the cloak tracker on. When I refer to the help I need I am just looking for specific tweaks I could maybe do. Extreme settings and high settings are no different to me so if I put any tweaks (found here: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1805866) would it help such as particles, object detail, etc. would it change the graphics differently than the 3 options given in game.

ah a great example of ignorance and a simple mind. tweaks are just for more specific tweaks that most games offer that people have made themselves.

Plus how would you know "how you should be seeing them" if you haven't run into a situation as mine? have you tried it on multiple setup or settings or computers or drivers? 'tis why forums is a bad place to post for possible issues because it all leads to hax. if i wanted to hack i wouldn't ask openly...**** doesn't seem to hard to do
