The fact that it even bothers going up to 1080p+ resolutions.

I like the new nanosuit, but I miss Maximum Speed. And armor mode and strength mode should be separated. Also, power kick should NOT expend ALL my energy. I could kick a car further in Crysis 1 with the old nanosuit in Maximum Strength mode and only 24% of my energy would go down.

Sa2fan, what about the level design do you like? I was born and raised in New York City, and even after 9/11 with security checkpoints and quarentine zones, there were NEVER large gigantic walls that would block streets like in Crysis 2. For me, that destroyed a LOT of immersion. It wasn't New York City, it was a digital micro-sandbox that tried to emulate a small tiny section of a city block (or 4, at the very most) with large "CELL" walls blocking the streets to save your video card from doom. It would be better to just have rubble blocking the way and not stupid CELL walls. Then, it's not a city anymore.

The new gameplay mechanics, such as ledge-grab, stealth kill, and slide.

That's about all I like about Crysis2 compared to Crysis or Warhead.

Well, for me it's really well made. Besides it's a city with almost linear gameplay, it's not like it was GTA with open space. Besides from texture, I like it.

^ this... some bugs have to be stomped but overall its 9/10... i like how long the story is and how much they tried not to make it seem and feel linear. and hell why is everyone raging that its so linear??? I preffer linear single player fps then open space because few times i get lost and some of the times i feel that i should go scoop around instead of finish the story which i must and i get confused by it... Since cry engine 3 is going to be a really uber graphic engine with maximum DX11 moders could easily model a whole new york or manhatan or any part of new york when they release a sandbox and let us scoop around and for me to see what its currently impossible for me... be in new york :) with DX11 im sure that its going to look REALLY REALLY close to the real deal with extra flavour "some aliens to shoot on my way on looking around"

You can now turn a SCAR into a mini Gauss rifle. Mods are more balanced so you take weapons that will work for your style. Weapon type improvements such as Automatic shotgun, BR, etc. Proper stealth kills, slide and VISOR mode. Better than binocs except for the zoom. Miss iron sights on Gauss rifle though were hard to use without LAM (which is now practically useless). Finally a mention to level design which is quite good (up high or down low) although limited (random high/invisible walls).

Simple, things you find good about Crysis 2:

Very good visuals for DX9

Soundtrack

Overall gameplay and level design
1.- No, it svcks for DX9. Crysis 1 have better graphics (5 years ahead) and Warhead is 10 years ahead on graphics. Basically Crysis 2 is a game from 10 years ago with today's technology.
2.- Yeah, somehow.
3.- Level design is crap. Small maps, only 1 way to get to destination (with only 1 exception). Gameplay, well, you can power stump and knife kill, but everything else svck big time due to the stupid and brainless AI.

Everything, except for bugs and multiplayer lag/issues (which of course, are both going to be fixed).

Specific things I like:

-Story
-DX9 visuals maxed out
-Soundtrack
-Nanosuit 2 with the streamlining

Thing I don't like:

-Big reduction of destructibility environments from Crysis 1 to Crysis 2....yeah I can shoot trees down, but very limited and I can't shoot them into tiny pieces of branches to pick up and throw around
-Smaller sandbox area (it's still sandbox but more linear than the already coregraphed sandbox Crysis 1. Not a big deal really since I love playing each level a lot and the game is still a play-how-you-want kind of game but yeahhh....)
-No turtles

TROLL ALERT

1-Crysis 1 came out about 4 years ago....actually, it really came out MORE LIKE 3 years and something months before Crysis 2's release but you get the idea. And those graphics were meant for hardware a year or two after Crysis 1's release. NOOB. Same for Warhead, which was a optimized Crysis 1 in terms of graphics (not too optimized tho)

2-Somehow? Hanz Zimmer and from what I think I heard, some people he is helping to become big musicians. IT'S AN EXCELLENT OST

3-Level design is awesome! Small maps? In multiplayer yeah, but big maps would be retarded. The maps are more vertical and awesome in the sense that you're more on your toes and in the action. In terms of singleplayer, there's still PLENTY of exploration to do, but I'm guessing you haven't tried it. 1 way to get to destination? HA! I've played multiple times to confirm this as false. The only 1 way-to-get-to-destination levels there are, are the last ones, from Masks off to Walk in a Park, and that's for story purposes. You need to explore more

Great concepts, poorly executed. And when I say poorly, I mean really, really poorly.
