Your most wanted graphic (DX10/11) feature?

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 1:31 am

I wonder what DX11 will bring for Crysis 2 but as it is still in development, we have a small chance to take some influence and pray for our most wanted feature (or non-DXxx Feature like textures).

(I'm sorry I can only create a poll with 10 options so, I hope the most known are written down.)

Vote for your most wanted feature if it's not in the list say 'other' and post what you want.

Mine is: Parallax Occlusion

Yeah but if I can't play the game why do I care what graphics options it has?

It's obviously not for you to answer if you aren't going to upgrade in time for it.

I picked other. All I want from their patch is a working shadow system.

Yeah I loved Parallax Occlusion Mapping in Crysis, it was just the feature that most took my breath (considering it takes little computation time). Can't believe People forgot about it all:

Upgrade..? I have the hardware to use dx11. I think you missed my point.

Yes. It's from the most advanced version of CryEngine called "CryEngine 2".

The physics in Crysis 2 ARE THE EXACT SAME AS IN CRYSIS 1. It's just the lack of destructibility programmed into the environment. People have this huge misconception that the physics got worse >_>

As for 3D water, there IS already 3D water in Crysis 2. Actually, with ripple effects happening real-time unlike Crysis 1, I'd say Crysis 2 has better water.\

I mostly want tesselation, paralex mapping, and high-res textures lol

So then I want destructability. As for the water I have played just the demo and the water was flat. So you got me, will buy it with the patch.

I agree. Though I remember the GDC about CryEngine 3 showed more destructibility in Crysis 2 where you can shoot windows and those little red arrow walls on the road. Where are they. :(
