Alan Wake.

So, about two years ago, after the release of a game that had caught my eye in Game Informer and then a second time in Wal-mart for it's beautiful box art, I bought the game Alan Wake. I knew it was a horror-survival game, and those types of video games didn't satisfy me. But, I started playing, and through the suspense, depressing plot twists and horrific moments, I was smiling. The game was so gorgeous and so well written. I finished the game, and my mind was blown. I thought to myself, Best. Game. Ever. I know not everyone might have liked the game, but that was just my opinion. So, if you've played this game, discuss.

One of my favorite games of recent memory. If there is one thing that you have to give the guys at Remedy, they know how to nail atmosphere. Aside from that, I loved the combat mechanics. Definitely one of the greats. Too bad the sales didn't hit where they deserved too. Still, heard that the sequel is confirmed, so can't ask for more than that.

I have to say, one major complaint that I had was the lack of a melee weapon. When you run out of ammo you are screwed. What's up with that?

I liked the soundtrack. Poets of the Fall are great, they did music for Max Payne 2 as well!

One of the better games I've played, easily in my top 5.

Trivia: I actually have a poster signed by the majority of the development team. How did I get this poster? I won a contest for dressing up like Barry Wheeler. :P

The awesome thing is, I actually do look like a younger version of Barry.

Got it a couple of weeks ago and love it, it deserves more praise than it gets.

I thought it was a [censored] excellent game. Had some awesome moments though I found the last few chapters to be rather drawn out.

I liked the game but I thought it was a bit repetitive. There was very little enemy/environment variety. The story was excellent, although I found it was let down by generic characters. Alan was a stereotypical broody, handsome intellectual and Barry was just a bumbling buffoon. My favourite part of the game was definitely listening to the radio and watching those TV shows based on The Twilight Zone (can't remember the name). I enjoyed the setting too. Very Stephen King. I'd give the game a 7/10. It was fun to play through, but I doubt it'll stick in the memory too long.

LOVED it. I actually won a competition just before it came out and got loads of Alan Wake swag. Still wear my Alan Wake hoodie. :D I got lots of tshirts too and they've got logos for the national park etc on them. Oh and a signed poster and a signed copy of the game. :D

Best swag? My Alan Wake torch. :D Loves it.
