I heard this would be fixed in a later patch but...?

Okay, so, the last time Crysis2 was updated, this happened.
Whenever i load up Crysis 2 now, it ONLY loads the background of the game. it does not load the menu, so i can do literally nothing. if i move my mouse the background will move as normal, but there are no buttons to use multiplayer singleplayer or use options or anything. just the background.
i heard it would be fixed in a later patch but it's been a while now :(
(Crysis 2 was working fine prior to that patch)

I would try doing a full uninstall and trying 1.1 and 1.2 installations separately. If you get the same results, try reinstalling/updating drivers.

And do you have a digital copy or a hard copy? It might be a corrupt installation.

I would try reformatting your harddrive that would help just go to your hard disk and click reformat.

His very name makes me not want to listen to him.
Also, please help? its the steam version and i really do NOT want to have to redownload it all AGAIN.
It worked absolutely fine before the patch, (level 10 in multiplayer, unless its reset me to 9 again)

Right click game, Properties-> Local Data-> Check Cache Integrity.

Usually does the trick.

I do read the posts. only i'm fairly sure formatting my harddrive makes it delete stuff off the harddrive as it does when i format anything else, plus the name justinbiebers sounds like a troll. I'll try verifying my cache like ishbane said.
*EDIT* Verifying the game integrity worked, it found 2 files that werent working and redownloaded them. no reason to post anymore, thank you.
