Why are pirates able to play this game online for free?

We pay for it because it hurts to have your work stolen, just because some clever people can get passed the games initial security it does not mean that you should feel it is ok to get pirated games and not pay for the hard work of the developers. The single player game alone was worth every penny, for me.

true but i believe in try-before-you-buy

same principle that killed the record labels. overpriced albums and no way of knowing if the tracks would be good. pirating led to more selection and better pricing and more bang for your buck.

This game is an example of how sales prevail over the completion of the game. The game is practically still in beta.

I can't believe this, I just lost a game against some G*Y lvl 50 hack-kiddies, it's even wrong calling them hackers because they don't deserve it.

They can walk faster that you can't even see them, unlimited energy if I'm not wrong, and aimbots.. Very disappointing. I stopped playing online today because of them.

One more thing, please ban this kid, he was using a hack the last game I played against him.

most game companies would be ashamed to release a game in beta in this state.

The full beta was leaked onto the internet a few months before release.

Anyone else find it comical that despite all the issues this game still has, making it so pirates couldn't play Crysis 2 1.2 MP was actually fixed pretty quickly?

Obviously it should never have happened in the first place (plenty of other games not on Steam are pirated but MP hardly ever works, esp. on day 1 of release...), but there are so many other things I would have rather them spend the time and code on first.

absurd, I can not believe ......
Once again the Pirates play the multiplayer version 1.2 .....
Crytek do nothing?
you will not care about the users who paid € 60 to play?

In my opinion, you think: "so now they have bought the game, who cares ..."

absurd .... but at least stop the multiplayer ..... we want to implement a DRM to control the serial? If that is all a marketing strategy?
you try the game at all and then who buys buy?

I prefer to finish with the questions, the answer will never receive.
