Blame the server owners and admins they are obviously not monitoring their servers.

Lol
So its our Job to stop work/school/ours lives to protect servers 24/7 when Crytek should have just released the game with some sort of Anti-Cheat Prevention method like practically every other Fing game does in our generation.

Most gaming communities that run servers have the ability to report cheaters. They also usually have many active admins patroling their servers. We're actually taking one step further and developing our own anti-cheat system in order to at least assist server admins with removing cheaters from our game. Our anti-cheat software is constantly being improved and this is an on-going process.

Cheers!

Whatever you have going, it is not working.

Same cheaters (2 of them actually) since the release of the game till today are still online and ranked level 50 and getting 102 kills (sometimes more) to 2-3 deaths.

Personally, i stopped playing online completely, untill you actually get Pb or VAC involved.

I went back to Crysis Wars, at least PB is there

Are they supposed to sit on the server 24/7 being your guardian against hacks? Considering the fact that the online player count is continuing to shrink, I can't blame them for not being around more.

The game needs an anti-cheat system, even though that will only help so much. Though they do discourage the majority of casual hackers out there.

I haven't had this wide spread armaggeddon everyone is talking about. I've had the game since release and yes there are some hackers, but if it is blatant I just find another server, there are tones... I have also been able to average a minimum of 2000xp per game and am now level 47 rank. So either I am missing something or I have just adapted to the cheating. Yes I agree it is a royal pain in the *** but the game is still fun and playable... is it just me?

+1 In my 200 or so games, if the stats are to be believed, i've only come across 1 'proper' hacker at which point i just left the server (a shame really cos it was one of the few 'pro' mode games that were running, but oh well).

There have been a few games where ppl we good at finding me whilst I waited for energy to boot up but also this could have been luck or tracker module???

I have honestly no idea where this reputation for hackers comes from, but in my experience most the accusations are levelled agianst geniunely good players who dominate a noob who only just entered the lobby and cant handle the fact they are crap, nothing towards the OP who might geniunely had a bad run of a few hacked games.

Same here, in 480 games since day one I encountered 2 aimbotters, and 5 people with perma-cloak (which is really not much of an issue), while I was called a cheater about 20 times.

This reputation for hackers started when the uber-popular Modern Warfare 2 had huge issues with hackers even on the consoles, and wasn't fixed for a long time because the developers partly left the company. It tought people that there are "hackers" everywhere, which overshadows fps games to this day. Now it's a welcome excuse for people to accept their mediocrity.

And btw, they are not "hackers", they are "cheaters". Hackers are the ones who hack the gamecode to build a software that allows cheating. The ones using it are usually not even able to program their kitchen timer. The fact that the terms are used synonymously just shows where the reputation comes from...
