+1 In my 200 or so games, if the stats are to be believed, i've only come across 1 'proper' hacker at which point i just left the server (a shame really cos it was one of the few 'pro' mode games that were running, but oh well).
There have been a few games where ppl we good at finding me whilst I waited for energy to boot up but also this could have been luck or tracker module???
I have honestly no idea where this reputation for hackers comes from, but in my experience most the accusations are levelled agianst geniunely good players who dominate a noob who only just entered the lobby and cant handle the fact they are crap, nothing towards the OP who might geniunely had a bad run of a few hacked games.
Same here, in 480 games since day one I encountered 2 aimbotters, and 5 people with perma-cloak (which is really not much of an issue), while I was called a cheater about 20 times.
This reputation for hackers started when the uber-popular Modern Warfare 2 had huge issues with hackers even on the consoles, and wasn't fixed for a long time because the developers partly left the company. It tought people that there are "hackers" everywhere, which overshadows fps games to this day. Now it's a welcome excuse for people to accept their mediocrity.
And btw, they are not "hackers", they are "cheaters". Hackers are the ones who hack the gamecode to build a software that allows cheating. The ones using it are usually not even able to program their kitchen timer. The fact that the terms are used synonymously just shows where the reputation comes from...
