L4D2/BC2 FOV? Wow mega fayl?

Post » Thu Dec 30, 2010 10:17 pm

Why the hell did Crytek go the L4D2/BC2 style route with the stupid FOV?
I dont want the gun being held against me head when im running... Pistols are practically almost ADS when you're walking... How come crappy COD can have sustom FOV where the camera will move back further from the gun?

This is very very irritating especially with Sniper Rifles and their HUGE scopes taking up 1/5 of your screen -__-

anyone else finds this annoying amongs all the other C2 bugs?

Hi,
I rode somewhere in this forum that camera can be changed from gun to head.

Can someone explain how ? I'm interested in that too.

Is it "draw near FOV" ?

Anyway, the way it was in C1 was much better. We have PC's that can work with more ram, so why this gun that takes a third of the screen ?

It really buggers me.....REALLY

You can always create a autoexec.cfg and type in:
cl_fov=75
pl_movement.power_sprint_targetFov=75

Along with other things...

75 is perfect for me.

I channged the FOV and put drawnearfov = 75 but that didnt help much. Still too much screen is covered with weapon. What was crytek thinking. I know Cry-Adam plays on pc. He could have said something to the devs

The complain is about the guns taking too much space on the screen , and from what you show us , it make it even worste .

With drawnear the weapon is pushed a little further, but it still restricts too much view
