Low fps on certain maps?

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 2:23 am

I was getting about 120 fps on 1920 X 1080 on extreme preset during MP and SP just fine up until the start of the week. I'm now getting avg 40-15 fps on certain maps that previously gave me 120. Nothing has changed on my end. Same 266.58 Nvidia drivers.

i920 OCed to 3.8
9.2gb patriot viper running at 3kmhz
dual 580GTX in sli
1000w sli certified psu
W7 pro 64-bit

Everything stays around 60C/150F ish. This just started recently, and it's not for all maps. At first I thought it was for outdoor maps only, but this isn't the case. It's not a water issue because some of the maps that give me problems have little to no water effects at all, some being indoors and some being outdoors.

Originally SLi didn't work when i got the game, but I read up somewhere that forcing frame rendering 2 would fix the issue, and it did. Until now, was there something in the patch that I missed? i've tried forced FR1/2 and running in single and application controlled modes and nothing works.

I'm having a similar problem with a GTX 460.

Playing@ 1600x900 where some maps in MP before had 0 problems averaging 70+
But now it seems like they are dropping considerably for no reason..
Perhaps the 1.2 patch did something?

Some maps are just more demanding than others. Pier 17 is the worst one.

I got problems on skyline to as wll as many friends...the easiest way to solve this would be the possibility to (fully) configurate graphics...what about medium or low settings?

Hmm....are you using autoexec.cfg?
But with rig this should also work.....strange. I experience the same thing (GTX460), but I'm using tweaks, so there's the reason for it.

mate try running Crysis 2 with a single 580...
if it improves means that SLI is ****...
If it dosent it means the newest patch **** it up :)

either way its a lose-lose situation
