good god this game got boring...

it is a cod clone. get the cum out of your eyes and see the truth.

lol, im surprised you still post here. I can tell you hate this game, so why bother?

the game is half decent. ive said that many times. doesnt mean im not going to come here and complain about why it wasnt what was promised to us, and how the game has suffered due to being multi plat. I post here because in my spare time i like to see people complaining about things that should be complained about. crysis 2 was a slap to the face of any competent pc gamer out there, you best believe im going to be a part of the bichfest.

I understand where you're coming from. Although I will say this, biching about it won't get us very far. People had to beg to get DX11, and we still don't have it, nor a release date, and you're right, the way this game was released was an insult to pc gamers.

Anywho, this place is a lost cause, but at least we can let off some steam either way. Carry on..

crytek is simply awful at post-release support.

the game has been out for a month: have they even fixed ONE single serious issue related to the multiplayer?

i mean, look at these patch notes, it's just pathetic:

List of changes
? Further improved anti-cheat measures
? Fix for spurious characters appearing when initiating text chat
? Fix for Chatlog doesn't disappear after kill cam
? Fixed occasional login issues
? Changed VOIP defaults
? Fixed some UI aspect issues on multiple monitors
? Added option for crouch toggle in MP & SP
? Fixed a bug where players lost Nano Catalyst points after restarting the game
? Filter settings in server browser are now retained
? Default player count required to start a game from the lobby lowered to 4
? Fixed issue related to “Deleting Reference Counted Object Twice” error that appeared for some users with strict router/firewall settings
? Fixed issue of not being able to melee after dying
? Fixed issue where some video cards were being stated as unsupported

the only major issues i can see even being slightly resolved in multiplayer is the cheating, and we all know how much crytek's anti-cheat is completely ripping cheaters apart, don't we? :|

these devs are simply horrible in realizing what needs to be done to satisfy a customer who has been playing a game for 4 weeks with game-breaking bugs and huge glitches.

to be honest, i hope the following never happens:

Crytek has told that it fully intends to make Crysis 3, and that it already has a plan for how the series' story will progress. However, the studio admits that the chances of a third game in the FPS series making it to market depends on the success of Crysis 2.

just like to add the fact that i've been playing FPS since cs 1.2, so no: i wasn't brought up with playing CoD where you had to earn your guns (heck, once cod4 came out, the first thing i did was dload the lvl55 hack so i wouldn't have to grind the 70 hrs to get the ak47).

It took you 70 hours to get to rank 5 in CoD4? Wow you must be **** horrible at FPS games.

i think he means MW2 - rank 70 to get ak47? Also it would not be 70 hours... much less than 24 L0L

You think he means MW2 with the way he mentions CoD4 and rank 55.. right. The guy is idiotic either way.

I wish there were more people in AUstralia that plays it, a shame, it has such potential.

I know many users have problems but I for one have very VERY rarely encounted the game breaking ones, I read the forums etc before I purchased the game and had the unlock bug, exp bug etc ironed out (for myself) anyway. Im currently rank 26 and I like Crysis 2 very much, I would play it more if I could get in seeing as though at peak there are usually only 4 servers full and its just a long waiting list to get in from there.

I think the unlocks are fine, they arent handing out (BC2, Im looking at you), dont feel that I will be become bored of it anytime soon seeing as I have an obsession to get every achievement/gun before moving on to other games.
I'm from AU and play 3FL/Games.on.net/GameArena mostly.. look me up.

Same name Ingame I usually play between 09:00 - 12:00pm every day, depends on when the wife is asleep :D

I still have an immense amount of fun playing, the only problem is once you do reach the big 50 you and lose that unlocking glory I find myself wanting to play with friends. However the in game friend system is pretty awful and most people from my steam friends don't fork over 60$ for games.

I personally think the game is an amazing start for a game, however unfinished and untended it's state is. I'd say you could make some very interesting tug-of-war based objective maps at some hopeful point in the future :P Wishful thinking and the fun ideas that could come of this game simply have me optimistic.

Honestly the crowd that this game attracted seemed to be the entirely wrong group of gamers, if you look at the (Cod-like) players who enjoy unlocking and grinding complain about ranks? Less ranks = more fun to me. I wish I had known about the level 55 hacks for cod4 :<

gtfo troll.

you're wrong in the sense that it's the wrong group of gamers, at least for crytek. what they wanted is exactly the players they got now. people who enjoy grinding ranks for no specific reason whatsoever and unlock that achievement that brings you that nice dogtag nobody ever sees except when they hover their mouse over your name in the gamelobby.

pointless rewards for 'progression' is something that never works out for pc gamers, because we weren't brought up with playing that shít in the 90s (when PCs were actually perceved as being a gaming device).
you have the players coming in to the game, playing it for a while, getting all the 'rewards', and then leaving because the game is completely bollocks once you get the actual feel of the gameplay. see: all codgames after cod4 and c2.
but then again, ironically, the games mentioned above always succeed in console environments, since what you have there are the 12-yr old kids that enjoy unlocking the gimmicks that don't enhance the gameplay in any way whatsoever.

i wish we'd have a levelhack for c2, so i wouldn't have had to play the game for 20 hrs before realizing it's just another codripoff, and that we most likely will be having a DLC in a month or two with 3-4 maps that will cost us another 10$.

meh, either way, /uninstall. we'll see how the game balances out in the summer, when crytek maybe have rolled out a patch from their árse of a development team.

cheerio.

How about playing for ya'know, entertainment? >_>

because doing the same thing over and over isnt entertaining?

but ya, crysis 2 is a cod clone, thus it has all of the pitfalls of cod. aka-boring once u get all the unlocks. thats why they release a new one every 6 months.

So much fail in this post.

1-It's not a CoD clone. You know it, I know it, near every **** PC (****, EVEN CONSOLE gamers) know it, major critics know and confirmed it, and uhh...yeah, that's about it.

2-CoD is released every 12 months.

-COD is released every 12 months with the same engine since COD4 (the only one worth for a long time)

NB: so is the next cod. See how developpers work soooo hard to please consoles gamers

-CRYSIS is released every 5 years, on an engine worse than its predecessor.

See how developpers.......(you know the end of the sentence)
