HMG Overpowered in Assault?

I saw some guy on the attacking team take a HMG and camp in the corner near a terminal... against the non-nanosuit defending team it's deadly.
I tried it for myself and I got all the Intel
It's crazy

i wouldn't say overpowered - but very good yes ^_^

seriously - attackers need some sort of better weapon than those crappy pistols :s

Its the weapon i like most cause it doesnt have scope and zoom very little on aiming, <3 old fashion crosshair.
To bad fps games startet to copy the crappy CoD style.

I love that weapon, have high damage, but you became slow.

Its balanced.

I really do think it's OP. The attacker team has the advantage of being extremely mobile (nanosuit), the defending team has the advantage of being powerful. The HMG screws up this balance in favor of the attacking team. I haven't seen a single Assault game won by the defending team on maps where HMGs were utilized. With a HMG, one shot = one kill (against defenders).

Even so because the defenders aren't able to detach them (having no nanosuits themselves).
I would suggest making HMGs impossible to detach in this game mode. Currently it is just absolutely not fair against the defenders.

While I don't think most feel the HMG is 'overpowered' in Assault Mode, anyone that's played this game mode extensively knows that the HMG being detachable for can be taken to places on various maps where it can be easily exploited... I feel like many that the weapon should be locked in its mount (but operational) for both teams on all maps... Assault Mode Fans why not comment in this thread, which was started earlier?
