Please please save stats and xp after EVERY MP game

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 4:04 am

I have been absolutely loving the multiplayer on Crysis 2, and have spent well over 60 hours playing it. However, there's one oversight/bug that is perhaps the worst I have ever encountered in any game.

Why does Crysis 2 not save your gameplay stats and XP after every game you successfully complete i.e. like every other multiplayer that has ever existed and that keeps track of your stats?

I just played a 3 hour session on one server, levelled up two levels, got numerous awards, levelled up weapons, got my longest killstreak yet... and just as I was about to call it quits for the night, I get the hideous message 'You have lost connection to the server' and I get disconnected from a server I have been on all night with a ping of consistently less than 40 (mostly around 14-20).

I lost ALL my XP, I lost the levels I gained, I lost the personal best killstreak record that I achieved, I lost all my kills, I lost all my awards, I lost all my weapon power ups.

Simply because Crysis 2 doesn't save your stats after you complete a game, it only saves them when you voluntarily log off multiplayer! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

It's left such a sense of disappointment, and also fear that if I play again it can happen again at any moment... that I really feel like I don't want to play this multiplayer game that I have been enjoying so much. It's ruined it for me.

PLEASE PLEASE CRYTEK CAN YOU EXERCISE SOME COMMON SENSE AND SAVE STATS AFTER EVERY COMPLETED ROUND?!

Sorry if that has come off a bit ranty, but really I am totally gutted I lost everything I achieved in such a good 3 hour session. :(

You're obviously moved enough by the game to comment about it over 50 times ;)

The multiplayer is great... it's just all the bugs are awful. I can live or workaround most of them, but resetting the stats if you get disconnected seems like someone hasn't put anything thought whatsoever into this part of the multiplayer.

I really just can't bring myself to play this again until it's been patched properly. I simply won't enjoy the game if I know that at any time I can be randomly disconnected and lose everything from my entire session., not just the current round/game.

I paid for the damn game to play. Not take up space. Don't run out the clock so I can't return it. Help me fix it.

You've been tricked--the game is unfinished and untested. There are hundreds of threads about the incredible number of technical issues, all symptoms of carelessness. It won't ever be fixed and there is certainly not going to be any support for it, unless you think being told to reinstall is meaningful advice. Just uninstall it.

Its actually funny. After a game and sitting in a lobby I always ask myself If i should risk playing another game or bank my points. Usually this wouldnt be a problem but lately I cant get into quick play with a group of people and often have to start a new group which can take a long time to actually start a game. Its tough. Do I risk losing hard earned points or risk being able to play.

That's pretty much the only you can play now. You have to quit from the session so your stats save.

The worst part of that is if you're on a good server, you can't add the server to your FAVOURITES while you are on the server. You have to quit, find the server again on the server browser, and then view info -> add server to favourites Quite often it won't appear on your recent servers either.

Please fix this Crytek, and ASAP. Shouldn't be hard to just get stats to save after the round has finished?
