Recommended Specs for new DX11/Textures update

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 11:35 am

I really hope the recommended specs for the new patch are as follows:
Intel Core i7 920/Phenom II X6
GeForce GTX 560/Radeon HD6850 1GB
4GB DDR3
this would be for hardcoe DX11 settings
Maximum specs (would be best to make us wait for future hardware)
Intel Core i7 920/Phenom X6(Ivy Bridge/Bulldozer)
GeForce GTX 590/Radeon HD 6990 2-4GB(GTX600/HD 7000 2-6GB)
8GB DDR3(16GB DDR4)
Extreme DX11
With these specs I'm really hoping for Maximum destruction, using lots of RAM. I'm pretty sure we're gunna get some even more beautiful visuals, but I remember from talk of early Cryengine 3 demos that it allows for a lot of real-time destruction. Which is what I'm most interested in.

Don't think you are going to get a lot of destruction all of a sudden, doing that will mean that they need to create every little thing again, every model and most animations again with destruction. They are not going to do that.

In sum: you want an unplayable game?
