Well, the changes are mainly in the newer shaders which can be used to make the lighting so much better. For quick look at what a small number of dx11 effects do, play dirt 2. Screenshots do it no justice.

Google is your friend, sir. It would likely help you to have seen DX11 on your rig as well. You may want to consider being less flippant about things you obviously don't have a clue about.

If they use the full set of "DirectX 11 Enhancements" .. it will look ALOT better. Textures will look much more realistic, lighting/sun effects will be better, water/wet surfaces will look much better, enviroment should be more destructable, things like smoke/fog/mist, etc.. will be alot better. I guess it depends on what they take advantage of, but overall the textures will be alot better looking.

Lets also hope, for users running x64 bit operating systems, the also include a x64 bit mode like previous editions of Crysis had too.. so the "alot better" will be even "alot more better" =)

they said they want to get the best out of dx11 so that sounds like hardware tesselation to me.. and tesselation needs better textures than the only crysis 2 has at the moment otherwise the bumps will look crappy.

and about physics, i dont think dx11 will change anything to the physics of the game, unless they make a physics update aswell with the dx11 update.

If this is truly full on DX11, then it will look A WHOLEE LOT FREAKIN' BETTER. DX11 is a BIG jump from DX10.

I'd like them to use full DX11 of course lol :P
