Multiplayer almost dead?

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 7:06 am

Taken a quick look in the stickies and couldn't find anything specifically about this, but...

I'm not sure if this is accurate, or if it is a bug with the server finder, (and I really hope it is the second one), but when I connect to the multiplayer everything is fine, but when I look for a server that isn't empty, literally 1 out of every 500 or so have people in them, or sometimes less.

After letting it load for a bit, I had roughly 2000 servers found. Only 3 of those actually had people in them.

So has anyone else gotten this issue? I find it VERY hard to believe that there are only 30 people in the world currently playing Crysis 2 on PC.

Could be an error, server side, and could be lots of players are waiting for the update due out next week. Going to try and play awhile myself right now.

Just played and looks like lots are on playing. I figured out early on to set my filter so there's an X in both the Show Full and Show Empty, and that way I don't have to scroll through all the servers. Usually I find 10 to 15 with a slot open.

I quit the MP cause of the error that showed only a few people playing in every 1000 servers lol
Guess I'll be back playing when they fix it, or I'm lucky enough to stumble onto a game that has people in it that aren't too pro for me :P

The game is fairly dead in the US, but seems to be pretty popular in EU. Every day the number of active US players seems to go down, I rarely see more than 15 servers with players in them (most of them are often full, so finding somewhere to play is often difficult).

the game is out for only a month.
not every player buys the game on release date you know... i got it 2 days ago.
some wait months just for the price to get lower.

give it a while. things will be fine.

I know there is a lot of people who are un-happy with multiplayer and the cheats.

Multiplayer gets a big fat "F"

Wars was dead on arrival. And it's still dead with only a couple 100 people playing consistently.

For me, Crysis 2 is great. I'm able to find a bunch of servers. I set my filter options, wait a minute or so and see one server pop up. Then suddenly I see THOUSANDS of servers pop up. And I filter out the empty and full servers.
