Help me with my autoexec.cfg file!

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 6:52 am

Alright brothers, I went to the root folder of my Crysis 2 game, the upper level one, where I can see all the files such as: Engine, bin32, Backup, etc. In there I created a .txt file named "autoexec.cfg"and in it I placed the commands:

g_skipIntro=1
i_mouse_accel=0
i_mouse_smooth=0

r_motionblur=0
g_radialBlur=0

r_UseEdgeAA=0
r_SSAO=0
r_VSync=0
r_HDRBloomMul=0
r_HDRBrightLevel=0
r_MultiGPU=0
g_useHitSoundFeedback=1
sys_MaxFps=120
r_DrawNearFoV=95
r_Fullscreen=1

cl_fov=95
pl_movement.power_sprint_targetFov=95
net_packetsendrate=125

g_enableInitialLoginScreen=0

However, when I start the game, I still get ads, my FoV isn't changed, and there's still motion blur :(

Help!

Make sure you have enabled showing of the file extensions in Windows Explorer options. I'm willing to bet $10 bucks that your current autoexec.cfg file is actually called "autoexec.cfg.txt"

When clicking save as, make sure that "All Files" is selected and then name it autoexec.cfg. Alternatively just copy a different .cfg file, erase its content and name it autoexec and then place your lines into that file.

Yes - they are ... Microsoft isn't (never understood what hiding file name extensions might be good for)
