Why you don't do 2 exe ? 1 for single and 1 for multiplayer

OK so it seems now most of the cvars in autoexec doesn't works anymore and also there's an integrtiy check on .pak files so you can't modify them.

I AGREE with that but for multiplayer only!! not single player

Why you don't differentiate exes ?

Single Player exe: all cvars unlocked INSIDE THE GAME (no need to put them on autoexec), no paks integrity checks

Multiplayer exe: limited cvars, only the ones that doesn't create an unfair advantage, and integrity check on pak files.

and everyone happy, sounds bad ?

or as alternative if you are able to lock (and restore to default) cvars when join a multiplayer match using hte same exe would be nice aswell, but please let us play with the sandbox in single player, this has always been one of the most interesting part of the cry engine.

Also reading the open letter of Cevat Yerli on http://crymod.com/ it looks your intention is to release sdk for free for non commercial use, so an exe with all cvars unlocked will be fundamental sooner or later.

or just make it so when your in multiplayer, it uses your multiplayer config (limited), and when your in SP it uses your sp config.

the menus in this game are retarded enough as it is, i dont want 2 icons to load 2 different retarded menus

To be honest, to lock the CVars as well as a pak integrtiy check is just a weird way to fix or adress issues. Its been done to adress alot of "quick" cheats at least for MP. I really wouldn't call that any kind of indepth fix, but rather a workaround to deal with issues caused by cheaters, till Crytek comes up with a much smarter way to get rid of them.

As zergrush mentioned it already, the MP does use a fixed array of CVars already that were supposed to "balance" the multilplayer experience for everyone. But it failed to adress cheaters as well as the gamers that are used to keep the visual input to a minimum (Blur, DoF, etc...) so they can focus on whats important the enemy right in front of their gun ;)

Agreed. Example of this being used is in black ops. There is a configMP for multiplayer and a regular config file for single player/zombies. Some, not I, prefer to have minimum graphics in multiplayer for high fps and boosted graphics in single player with lower fps. Of course, limiting the MP config from any unfair changes, but allowing boosted eye candy if one preferred it. I feel disabling things like depth of field is unfair and should be blocked.
